Premise
La Gran Sangre is the name that Dragon, Mandril and Tony Blades, gave themselves after making a pact in which they swore to protect the oppressed. Friends since they were kids, each one of them had to live very difficult experiences in order to discover their true calling as justicieros (vigilantes).
The group became a legend in the streets of Lima, known and respected by everyone, the three heroes protected the city for a long time, until Tony supposedly betrayed the others causing the breakup of the group. The once inseparable friends ended their brotherhood and the criminals returned to the streets. After breaking the blood pact that united them, they took different paths and swore not to see each other again.
Years later, when La Gran Sangre was nothing but a myth to many, a desperate businessman whose 15-year-old daughter had been kidnapped accomplished what seemed impossible: find Dragon, the former leader of the group, now a martial arts expert committed to help teenagers from a rough neighborhood keep away from drugs and gangs. Dragon was reluctant to search for his old friends, but finally, he realized they were the only ones that could save the girl's life, and after much struggling to convince Mandril and Tony, they made a new pact and became La Gran Sangre again.
Season synopses
Season One
A 15-year-old girl named Allison Tamani has been kidnapped. It's been 20 days and the police can't find her. Every clue seems to vanish, and her father, a wealthy businessman is desperate. A video in which the girl appears living in subhuman conditions is shown in every local news show. The criminals ask for a 1 million dollar ransom, and threaten to cut off parts of Allison's body if her father fails to pay it on time.
Dragon, Mandril and Tony Blades, are the former members of a group called La Gran Sangre, which in other times dedicated to solve similar cases and to defend those who were in need. Separated for many years, each one lives their own life not knowing each other's whereabouts. From different sides of the city the three of them watch the news and feel profound indignation.
Mr. Tamani, convinced that nobody but them can save his daughter, manages to reach Dragon with the hope he will reform La Gran Sangre. After much doubt he decides to fulfill his destiny and accepts, not knowing that reunite his old friends is a task more difficult than he believed and that the girl's kidnapper is no other that Conde, Dragon's mortal enemy whom everybody believed dead after their last encounter, waiting for his bloody revenge.
Season Two
Raquel, Cobra and Johan are admitted as new official members and the restructured group decide to move in together. As they continue to fight crime in the streets, a series of organized robberies suddenly gets them involved in a big case.
A reckless band of female thieves, Diana, Venus and Medusa, who call themselves "las diosas malditas" (the evil goddesses) are sacking the national heritage. The political and cultural high spheres cannot trust the police. In the middle of the confusion the director of the National Bank proposes that La Gran Sangre take over the case and bring the goddesses to justice.
The case seems simple, but the three criminals would be able to challenge the abilities of La Gran Sangre in an unexpected way. Not only are they young and attractive, but also members of the upper social class of Lima, unknown environment for the heroes.
Season Three
After the death of Mandril, chaos and uncertainty takes over the members of La Gran Sangre. Raquel, Johan and Cobra try to convince Dragon and Tony to not give up on the team, but both cave in to their pain, and feeling devastated, each one takes his own path.
Meanwhile, Conde has recovered from his defeat and is ready to face his old enemy. To accomplish this he joins efforts with a new force of evil: Gringo, a powerful drug lord who embraces the fight against La Gran Sangre. Alongside him will fight Ming Nao, expert in seduction; Doncella, expert in poisons; and Roble expert in Wrestling. Joining them will also be Seca and Verdes who have been feeding up their rage against La Gran Sangre during their time in jail.
This time the evil gang has the upper hand. La Gran Sangre must overcome their own issues first, in order to defeat the group of merciless villains and survive.
Season Four
After the defeat of El Conde, peace reigns over the city. However, the heroes go each their separate way, with no plans of getting back together in the near future.
However, peace is quickly threatened by El Mesías (The Messiah), who leads the M.P.S.P. (Movement for the salvation of Perú), a terrorist organization aiming to take over the country. Mandril must reunite with Tony and handle the case on their own, as Dragon has travelled to China and is impossible to reach him. Other villains of the series make their comebacks in this final season.
Ninel Herrera Conde is a Mexican singer, actress and television host known for her performances in Rebelde, Fuego en la sangre, Mar de amor and Porque el amor manda.
Erick Francisco Casas Ruiz is a Mexican professional wrestler currently working under the ring name Heavy Metal for AAA. He is the son of referee Pepe Casas and part of the Casas wrestling family; the brother of Negro Casas and Felino.
Gilbert Cosme Ramírez is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler, better known by his ring names El Mesías, Mil Muertes, Ricky Banderas and King Muertes. He began his career in the International Wrestling Association based in Puerto Rico. While performing in the company, he won the IWA World Heavyweight Championship on five instances and held minor championships on fifteen separate occasions, before leaving the company in 2006. On March 12, 2006, he debuted in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), a promotion based in Mexico, as a character named Muerte Cibernetica and was involved in an angle where this character was "killed". In November 2006, Cosme was involved in the tapings of the Wrestling Society X television series, where he was the second and last wrestler to win the WSX Championship.
Marcos Tinajero is a Mexican Luchador (wrestler) who is known under the names Ozz / Dark Ozz, a Face character that works for Lucha Libre Elite. Best known for his work in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), he has been part of The Black Family since it was formed. During his time in the Black Family, Ozz has been a member of Lucha Libre Latina (LLL) and La Secta del Mesías, its predecessor La Secta Cibernetica and La Legión Extranjera but now the Black Family is its own independent entity.
Novelas ejemplares is a series of twelve novellas that follow the model established in Italy. The series was written by Miguel de Cervantes between 1590 and 1612 and printed in Madrid in 1613 by Juan de la Cuesta. Novelas ejemplares followed the publication of the first part of Don Quixote. The novelas were well received.
Anselmo Rivas Castro is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler, who currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the name Dragón Rojo Jr.. He has previously worked under the ring names Zaracatán Jr. and Diamante Negro but has achieved the majority of his success as Dragón Rojo Jr. He is a two-time CMLL World Middleweight Champion, and he currently holds the record for most days as Middleweight Champion. Dragón Rojo Jr. along with Último Guerrero are the longest reigning CMLL World Tag Team Champions in the history of the championship.
Poder Mexica is a professional wrestling stable currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The stable was founded in December 2008 and consists of Sangre Azteca and Misterioso, Jr. Black Warrior and Dragón Rojo, Jr. were originally members of the group, but left in the fall of 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Sangre Azteca is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler is primarily known for his work for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Sangre Azteca's real name is not revealed in public, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. He is part of the rudo stable "Poder Mexica" along with Dragon Rojo Jr. and Misterioso Jr.
Clemente Marcelino Valencia Nájera was a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Doctor X, under which he worked for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) for most of his career, winning the Mexican National Welterweight Championship and the Mexican National Trios Championship, teaming with Sangre Azteca and Nitro. Doctor X was a member of Pandilla Guerreras and the co-leader of Los Guerreros Tuareg. In August 2011, Valencia quit CMLL and joined Perros del Mal Producciones under the new ring name Doctor X-Treme. Valencia also previously worked as "Dr. O'Borman Jr." a name he licensed from the original Dr. O'Borman. Throughout his career, Doctor X's real name was not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. He was killed on 11 October 2011 when trying to break up a fight.
Joaquim "Quim" Gutiérrez Ylla is a Spanish actor. He won the Goya Award for Best New Actor for his performance in Dark Blue Almost Black (2006).
Gran Guerrero is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is the current CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, in his first reign. He portrays a rudo wrestling character. He was originally introduced to the wrestling world under the ring name Último Guerrero Jr. in 2009 as the storyline son of Último Guerrero, and later made his wrestling debut under the name Taurus. In 2013 he was given a new image, re-introduced under the ring name "Gran Guerrero", officially acknowledging that he was the much younger brother of Último Guerrero. Gran Guerrero's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans.

José Luis Florencio Martínez is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler best known under the ring name Akuma. He is currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a rudo wrestling character, and is one-half of the current CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Champions - with Espanto Jr.. He is the younger brother of CMLL wrestler Demus 3:16 and has been referred to as both Akuma 3:16 and Akuma 666 early in his career.
Juan Carlos Contreras Uribe, better known under the ring name Apocalipsis, is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a rudo wrestling character and is one-third of the Mexican National Trios Champions. He previously worked under the ring name El Koreano.

Known mainly for his roles as Caradura in the Misterio series and Tony Blades in the series La gran sangre, and also for leading his TV show La Banda del Chino. The Torneo Gran Alternativa (2005) was a professional wrestling tournament held by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. The tournament was held on July 1, 2005, in Mexico City, Mexico at CMLL's main venue, Arena México. The Gran Alternativa tournament features tag teams composed of a rookie, or novato, and a veteran wrestler for an elimination tournament. The idea is to feature the novato wrestlers higher on the card that they usually work and help elevate one or more up the ranks. CMLL made the Torneo Gran Alternativa an annual event in 1995, only skipping it four times between 1994 and 2017. since it is a professional wrestling tournament, it is not won or lost competitively but instead by the decisions of the bookers of a wrestling promotion that is not publicized prior to the shows to maintain the illusion that professional wrestling is a competitive sport.
The Torneo Gran Alternativa (2008) was a one-night, eight-team professional wrestling tournament held on July 18, 2017 by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. The 2008 Gran Alternativa was the 14th time CMLL held the Torneo Gran Alternativa since the first tournament was held in 1994. The Gran Alternativa tournament concept is to team a young, or low ranking novato up with a veteran wrestler for tag team tournament as a way to highlight the novato wrestlers, potentially elevating one or more of them up the ranks of CMLL. The winning team was awarded a trophy, but no other tangible rewards for winning the tournament.

El Conde: Amor y honor is an upcoming Spanish-language American television series that will premiere on Telemundo in 2023. It is an adaptation of the 1844 novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, and is produced by Sony Pictures Television for Telemundo. It will star Fernando Colunga and Ana Brenda Contreras.
