The Ladima Foundation, founded in 2017, is a pan-African non-profit organization aiming to promote women in the TV and film industry. It is based in Cape Town. [1]

The Ladima Foundation was co-founded by Lara Utian-Preston and Edima Otuokon. [2] In 2018 it launched the A-List, a database of women professionals working in the industry across Africa. [1] In 2019 the Foundation announced their advisory board, comprising Biola Alabi, Themba Bhebhe, Catherine Gitahi, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Charlotte Giese, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Fibby Kioria, Elias Ribeiro, Monica Rorvik and Debra Zimmerman. [3]

Biola Alabi is a Nigerian businesswoman. She is a founding partner of Biola Alabi Media (BAM), a production company that produces TV series and movies for the Nigerian market, such as the food travel series Bukas and Joints and movie Lara and the Beat. She previously served as a senior executive for M-Net Africa.

Bikiya Graham-Douglas Nigerian actress

Botoba Tamunolobikiya Graham-Douglas popularly known as Bikiya is an award-winning Nigerian born British trained Actress and Performing Artiste. She is the daughter of Nigerian politicians Alabo Tamunotenyim Graham-Douglas, four time Nigerian Minister and Her Excellency Bolere Elizabeth Ketebu, former Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland and Iceland. Her performance training includes the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), the Oxford School of Drama, the Bridge Theatre Training Company and Point Blank Music School. She has a BA (Hons) in Business Economics with business law from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.

Nse Ikpe-Etim Nigerian actress

Nse Ikpe-Etim is a Nigerian actress. She came into prominence in 2008 for her role in Reloaded. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in Reloaded and Mr. and Mrs., respectively. In 2014, she won the Best Actress in a Drama award at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for playing "Nse" in Journey to Self.
