Lawrence W. Owens (born December 31, 1968) is an American baseball coach and former pitcher. Owens played college baseball at Bellarmine before transferring to Vincennes and Armstrong State and in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for one season in 1990. He served as the head coach of the Bellarmine Knights (2014–2022).
Owens attended Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he played for the school's baseball teams where he pitched. He then attended Bellarmine University in 1986 before transferring to Vincennes University and ending up at Armstrong State University. In 1988, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL). [1] As a senior in 1990, Owens was named an honorable mention All-American. [2] He drafted in the 27th round of the 1990 Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves. [3]
In 1997, Owens returned to the CCBL as pitching coach of the Falmouth Commodores. [4] After being the pitching coach for the San Diego Surf Dawgs, Owens joined the Boston Red Sox as an area scout in November, 2005. [5]
On August 7, 2013, Owens was named the head baseball coach at Bellarmine University. [6] Owens resigned from his position with the Knights following the conclusion of the 2022 season. He had a 212–225 record over nine seasons. [7]

The Cape Cod Baseball League is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league located on Cape Cod in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. One of the nation's premier collegiate summer leagues, the league boasts over one thousand former players who have gone on to play in the major leagues.

Paul David Abbott is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He was a part of the 2001 Seattle Mariners team who tied the Major League Baseball (MLB) record for the most wins in a season, with Abbott compiling a 17–4 win–loss record. He has one of the highest lifetime winning percentages as a Mariner (.679). Since 2010, he has worked as a minor league pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox organization.

The team is owned and operated by the non-profit Hyannis Athletic Association.

Wilfred Henry "Lefty" Lefebvre was an American professional baseball player and scout, and college baseball head coach. A southpaw pitcher and native of West Warwick, Rhode Island, LeFebvre had a nine-year playing career. He appeared in 36 games in Major League Baseball as a member of the Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators. LeFebvre entered baseball after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross. He was listed as 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m) tall and 180 pounds (82 kg).

Merrill "Red" Wilson Field is a baseball venue in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, home to the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL). Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School is located to the southwest of the field. Red Wilson Field is one of three CCBL ballparks that does not have lights.
