Lauri Hakola (born 13 December 1979 in Oulu) is a Finnish former ski jumper. He currently resides in Kuopio, where he is a student, and plays tennis in his spare time.
Hakola competed at World Cup level seven times, mostly at events held in Finland. His best finish was tenth in the opening event of the 2006–07 season, in which the top athletes were hampered by poor weather conditions. Lauri Allan Törni, later known as Larry Alan Thorne, was a Finnish-born soldier who fought under three flags: as a Finnish Army officer in the Winter War and the Continuation War ultimately gaining a rank of captain; as a Waffen-SS captain of the Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS when he fought the Red Army on the Eastern Front in World War II; and as a United States Army Major when he served in the U.S. Army Special Forces in the Vietnam War.

He is also known for his work as the bass guitarist in the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius. Hannu Kalevi Manninen is a Finnish nordic combined athlete. Debuting at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer at the age of 15, he took his first medal three years later at the age of 18 when he won silver in the 4 × 5 km team event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, he won a gold medal in the 4 × 5 km team event at the age of 23. He has five other Nordic skiing World Championships medals, earning three golds and two bronzes.
