Sir Lawrence Walter Jackson KCMG (1914 5 June 1993) [1] was a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He was appointed as a Supreme Court Judge in 1949 and became Chief Justice in 1969. He retired in 1977, and died in 1993. A son, Lawrence Alton Jackson, was a judge in the District Court of Western Australia from 13 July 1992 until his retirement on 16 February 2004.

The Chief Justice of Western Australia is the most senior judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the highest ranking judicial officer in the Australian state of Western Australia. The Chief Justice is both the judicial head of the Supreme Court as well as the administrative head. He or she is responsible for arranging the business of the court and establishing its rules and procedures.

Francis Burt Australian jurist

Sir Francis Theodore Page Burt was an Australian jurist who served as the 11th Chief Justice of Western Australia, from 1977 to 1988, and the 29th Governor of Western Australia, from 1990 to 1993. Burt was born in Cottesloe, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, and educated at Guildford Grammar School. He studied law at the University of Western Australia, and also served in the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II. Burt was made a justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1969, and was promoted to Chief Justice in 1977. As Chief Justice, he served as lieutenant-governor. When the Governor of Western Australia, Gordon Reid, resigned in 1989, Burt was appointed to succeed him and served as Governor until 1993.

Philip Whistler Street Australian judge

Sir Philip Whistler Street was the eighth and second longest-serving Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales. He was the first of three generations of the Street family to serve New South Wales in both of these roles; followed by his son Sir Kenneth Whistler Street and grandson Sir Laurence Whistler Street.

Sir John Alfred Northmore KCMG was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, which is the highest ranking court in the Australian State of Western Australia. Northmore was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court in 1914 before being appointed Chief Justice in 1935. He retired in 1945 and died in 1958.

James Joshua Edelman has been a justice of the High Court of Australia since 30 January 2017, and is a former justice of the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He is noted for his various achievements at a young age, including becoming a professor at Oxford University before the age of 35 and a justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia before the age of 40. He was 43 years old upon commencing his appointment on the High Court and is eligible to continue until reaching the constitutionally required retirement age of 70 in 2044.

Lawrence Stanley Jackson was the Australian Taxation Commissioner from 1939 to 1946.

Thomas Draper (1864-1946) politician and judge

Thomas Percy Draper CBE KC was an Australian lawyer, politician, and judge. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1907 to 1911 and again from 1917 to 1921, and was attorney-general in the first government of Sir James Mitchell. He later served on the Supreme Court of Western Australia from 1921 to 1939.
