Leonard Dobre (born 16 June 1992, Bucharest) is a Romanian professional football player who plays as a striker.

Aurelia Dobre is a former artistic gymnast and the 1987 world all-around champion. She is the 1987 world champion on the balance beam and the bronze medalist on the vault and floor exercise, as well, and scored five perfect 10s at these championships.
The Jiu Valley miners' strike of 1977 was the largest protest movement against the Communist regime in Romania before its final days. It took place 1–3 August 1977 and was centered in the coal mining town of Lupeni, in Transylvania's Jiu Valley.

Cornel Dobre is a Romanian former footballer who played as a right-back.
Dănuț Dobre is a retired Romanian rower. Competing in different events he won four silver medals at two Olympics and two world championships between 1987 and 1992. After retiring from competitions in 1993, he worked in personal security, guarding Nicolae Văcăroiu, Ion Iliescu and Emil Constantinescu, among others.
Lucian Mihail Dobre is a former Romanian professional footballer who played as a defender for teams such as CSM Reșița, Astra Ploiești, Petrolul Ploiești, FC U Craiova, Zimbru Chișinău, Dacia Chișinău or Farul Constanța, among others.
Anișoara Dobre-Bălan is a Romanian rower. Competing in quadruple sculls she won two Olympic medals, in 1988 and 1992, and three world championship medals, in 1985, 1986 and 1991. She also won the world title in women's eight in 1989. Her sister Doina Șnep-Bălan is married to Ioan Snep; both are Olympic rowers. The sisters often competed at the same tournament but in different crews.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Socialist Republic of Romania on 17 March 1985. The Front of Socialist Unity and Democracy (FDUS), dominated by the Romanian Communist Party (PCR) and including other mass organisations, was the only group to contest the elections, and no prospective candidate could run for office without the Front's approval. Consequently, FDUS candidates won all 369 seats in the Great National Assembly, also ensuring the rubber-stamp confirmation of Nicolae Ceaușescu as President of Romania. The Assembly which elected him included several members of the Ceaușescu family, namely his wife Elena, son Nicu, and brother Ilie. Continuity was also ensured by other incumbents, including Nicolae Giosan as Assembly chairman and Constantin Dăscălescu as Prime Minister.
Estera Dobre is an amateur Romanian wrestler, who competed in the women's flyweight category. Between 2009 and 2012, Dobre won a total of four silver medals for the 48 and 51 kg classes at the European Wrestling Championships. She was disqualified from the 2013 European Wrestling Championships on a positive doping sample and given a two-year ban. She is also a member of CSA Steaua Bucuresti, and is coached and trained by Arpad Matefi.

Asociația Fotbal Club Voința Lupac, also known as Voința Lupac, is a Romanian football club based in Lupac, Caraș-Severin County, currently playing in Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system, following their promotion from the Liga IV – Caraș-Severin County in the 2020–21 season. The players are nicknamed the Croats, because Lupac commune was mostly made up of Krashovani Croats.
Dumitru Petrescu, believed to have been born Gheorghe M. Dumitru, also known as Gheorghe Petrescu and Petrescu-Grivița, was a Romanian general, trade union leader, and Communist Party (PCR) activist. After training as a metalworker in Grivița, he took to left-wing politics, joining the underground communist groups at some point before the railwaymen's strike of February 1933, which he helped organise together with Constantin Doncea and Gheorghe Vasilichi. Arrested by the Romanian Kingdom authorities in its wake, he received a 15-year prison sentence. He broke out of Craiova penitentiary a few months later, together with Vasilichi and Doncea, after overpowering a guard. With support from the International Red Aid, Petrescu made his way into Czechoslovakia, and then headed for the Soviet Union, where he lived until 1944. He worked in publishing and trained as a propagandist at the International Lenin School in Moscow.
Gheorghe "Gogu" Rădulescu was a Romanian journalist, economist, and high-ranking figure of the communist regime. Of mixed Romani and Russian heritage, he began his leftist and anti-fascist militancy in the early 1930s, while a student at the Commercial Academy in Bucharest. He established a Democratic Students' Front, which embarked on a direct confrontation with the fascist Iron Guard, as well as with the conservative establishment of the Romanian Kingdom; supported by the clandestine Romanian Communist Party (PCR) and its Union of Communist Youth, Rădulescu networked with moderate leftists and independents. In 1935, he organized a training camp in Moieciu, which was nearly broken up by the Gendarmes. In 1937, he was kidnapped and tortured by Iron Guard affiliates, and then also expelled from the Communist Youth for his apparent insubordination. Taking his doctorate in 1938, Rădulescu worked as a researcher for the Institute of Economic Conjecture, under his communist friend Belu Zilber.
