The Liberation Stars are a Sint Maarten football club based in Philipsburg who competed in the Sint Maarten League while it was still in existence. The club has been reported to have been playing in Sint Maarten's top division since 2002, although the most recent records are from 2007. [1]

Philipsburg is the main town and capital of the country of Sint Maarten. The town is situated on a narrow stretch of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond. The country is a parliamentary representative democratic country with a multi-party system. The Sint Maarten cricket team has represented the Dutch Overseas Territory of Sint Maarten in cricket. The team is not a member of the International Cricket Council, but is a member of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board, and players from Sint Maarten generally represent the Leeward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. Sint Maarten has however played as a separate entity in matches which held Twenty20 status, but has not appeared in first-class or List A cricket. The teams current coach is Rishie Singh, who was appointed in 2009. As of September 2014, the teams captain is Kenroy David.

The 2016–17 Sint Maarten Soccer Association (SMSA) Senior League was the 41st season of top division football in Sint Maarten. The season begin on 2 October 2016 and ended on 10 April 2017.

Prostitution in the Dutch Caribbean is legal and regulated. At least 500 foreign women are reportedly working in prostitution throughout the islands. Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Curaçao are sex tourism destinations.

Leona Marlin-Romeo Dutch politician

Leona M. Marlin-Romeo is a Sint Maarten politician and the current Prime Minister of Sint Maarten. She was selected as Prime Minister in the coalition agreement between the United People's Party, the Democratic Party and the independent member of Parliament Chanel Brownbill. She previously served as a Member of Parliament from 2014 to 2016.

Miss Sint Maarten is a national beauty pageant that selects queen from Sint Maarten representative to Miss Universe pageant between 1976 and 1982. This pageant is incorporated to Miss St. Martin who selects the winner to Miss France since 2012.
