Liesbeth Mau Asam (born 9 April 1982 in The Hague) is a Dutch Short track speed skater who lives in Woubrugge and who has a relationship with Cees Juffermans.
Mau Asam participated at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, but had a hard time qualifying for the Games. She was nominated by the Dutch Speed Skating Association on the 500 metres and had to show form at the Speed Skating World Cup meeting in her city of birth The Hague. She did not succeed in reaching the goals set by the Dutch Olympic Committee and did not qualify directly. She had to wait until the European Championships in January 2006, where she finished in 5th position over 500 metres, which was good enough for her to qualify for the Olympics. As the Dutch had two more starting entries left (at 1000 and 1500 metres) which were not taken by any other skater Mau Asam was also allowed to participate at those distances in Turin.
Eventually she would set her worst performance at the distance she qualified at, the 500 metres as she was eliminated in the series. At the 1000 metres she was able to reach the quarter-finals, while at the 1500 metres she reached the semi-finals. A few weeks after the Olympics she would become Dutch National Champion for the third time in her career and successfully defended the title a year later.

Kristina Nicole Groves is a Canadian retired speed skater. She is Canada's most decorated skater in the World Single Distances Championships with 13 career medals in this event. She won four Olympic medals: she won two silver medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, in the 1,500 meters and team pursuit, and she won the silver medal in the 1500 m event and the bronze medal in the 3000 m event at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
Christine Nesbitt is a Canadian retired long track speed skater who currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia. She won the gold medal in the 1000 metres event at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. She had previously won a silver medal in the team pursuit at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. She is also the 2011 sprint champion, 2012 1500 metres world champion, three-time world champion for 1000 metres, and three-time world champion for team pursuit. On 4 June 2015 she announced her retirement.
Yekaterina Alexandrovna Lobysheva is a retired Russian speed skater. She won bronze medals in the team pursuit at the 2006 and 2014 Winter Olympics.
Lee Kyou-hyuk is a South Korean retired long track speed skater who specializes in the 500 and 1,000 meters. He was the 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 World Sprint Speed Skating Champion and the 2011 World Champion for 500 m. He is one of four men to have won the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships four times.

Annita van Doorn is a Dutch Short track speed skater. She made her international debut in 2003 at the World Championships for teams. Van Doorn was the first Dutch short track speed skater with a victory on a World Cup distance. She took a lap on her competitors on the 3000 meters and won the super final, surprisingly, at her second World Cup competition. In 2008, she became European Champion in the 500 meters in Ventspils, Latvia. In the overall classification she ended as 5th. She won bronze medals at the European Championships with the relay team in 2007, 2009 en 2010. In 2009 Van Doorn won her first Dutch title.
Brittany Starr Bowe is an American speed skater and former inline skater and basketball player. She has won eight gold, one silver, and two bronze medals from the world inline speedskating championships. From her junior years, she has another 21 world championship medals. She also has a gold medal from the combined sprint event in roller skating at the 2007 Pan American Games.
Jorien ter Mors is a retired Dutch speed skater on both short track and long track. She was the Olympic champion in the 1500 metres and team pursuit at the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 1000 metres at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
