Bataan is a province situated in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Its capital is Balanga. Occupying the entire Bataan Peninsula on Luzon, Bataan is bordered by the provinces of Zambales and Pampanga to the north. The peninsula faces the South China Sea to the west and Subic Bay to the north-west, and encloses Manila Bay to the east.
Neuquén is the capital city of the Argentine province of Neuquén and of the Confluencia Department, located in the east of the province. It occupies a strip of land west of the confluence of the Limay and Neuquén rivers which form the Río Negro making it part of the ecoregion of Alto Valle del Río Negro. The city and surrounding area have a population of more than 340,000, making it the largest city in Patagonia. Along with the cities of Plottier and Cipolletti, it is part of the Neuquén – Plottier – Cipolletti conurbation.

The Neuquén Group is a group of geologic formations found in Argentina. Rocks in the Neuquén Group fall within the Cenomanian to early Campanian stages of the Late Cretaceous Period. It overlies the older Lohan Cura Formation and is itself overlain by the younger Allen Formation of the Malargüe Group, separated from both by unconformities, dated to 98 and 79 Ma respectively.
The Candeleros Formation is a geologic formation that crops out in the Río Negro, Neuquén, and Mendoza provinces of northern Patagonia, Argentina. It is the oldest formation in the Neuquén Group and belongs to the Rio Limay Subgroup. Formerly that subgroup was treated as a formation, and the Candeleros Formation was known as the Candeleros Member.
The Limay River is an important river in the northwestern Argentine Patagonia. It originates at the eastern end of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and flows in a meandering path for about 380 kilometres (240 mi), collecting the waters of several tributaries, such as the Traful River, the Pichileufú and the Collón Curá. It then meets the Neuquén River and together they become the Río Negro. At this confluence lies the city of Neuquén.

The Piedra del Águila Dam is the second of five dams on the Limay River in northwestern Argentine Patagonia and 590 metres (1,940 ft) above mean sea level, downstream from the confluence of the Limay and the Collón Curá River. It was inaugurated in 1993.
The El Chocón Dam is the fourth of the five dams on the Limay River in the northwestern Argentine Patagonia, at 381 metres (1,250 ft) above mean sea level. El Chocón is on the Limay River at about 80 km (50 mi) upstream of its confluence with the Neuquén River.

The strata date back to the Late Cretaceous (Early Cenomanian to Early Turonian. The Río Limay Subgroup overlies the Lohan Cura Formation, separated by an unconformity dated to 98 Ma. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formations it contains.
The Collón Curá River is a geographical feature of Neuquén Province, Argentina. It flows southward from the confluence of the Aluminé and Chimehuin Rivers, near the town of Junín de los Andes, for around 70 kilometres (43 mi), past which it becomes a tributary of the Limay River. The Collón Curá Formation and in turn the South American land mammal age Colloncuran are named after the river.
Huinculsaurus is a genus of elaphrosaurine noasaurid dinosaur from the Huincul Formation in Neuquén Province, Argentina. The type and only species is Huinculsaurus montesi. It was probably around 3 metres (9.8 ft) when fully grown, although this is only speculation since no fully mature specimens are currently known.
The Paso Flores Formation is a latest Late Triassic (Rhaetian) geologic formation in the Neuquén Basin of Neuquén Province in northwestern Patagonia, Argentina. The brown to red-stained conglomerates, sandstones and shales of the formation represent the youngest and only latest Triassic edimentary unit in the country, overlying basement.
The Bataan Refinery is an oil refinery in Limay, Bataan, Philippines. It is owned and operated by Petron Corporation and is the largest oil refinery in the Philippines with the capacity to process 180,000 barrels per day (29,000 m3/d). It began operation in 1961.
