Togrul Farman oglu Narimanbekov was one of the prominent modern Azerbaijani artists.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Day After Day" written by Govhar Hasanzadeh and Zahra Badalbeyli. The song was performed by Elnur and Samir. The Azerbaijani Eurovision entrant for the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia was selected through Land of Fire 2008, organised by the Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV). The final took place on 2 February 2008 and a fifteen-member jury selected Elnur Hüseynov as the winner. The song "Day After Day", performed in a duet with Samir Javadzadeh, was internally selected and announced on 8 February.

Elnur Hüseynov is an Azerbaijani singer. He was Azerbaijan's representative to perform "Day After Day" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 alongside Samir Javadzadeh as duo Elnur and Samir. In 2015, he won the fourth season of The Voice of Turkey and represented Azerbaijan in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Hour of the Wolf".

Azerbaijan National Museum of Art is the biggest art museum of Azerbaijan. It was founded in 1936 in Baku and in 1943 was named after Rustam Mustafayev, a prominent Azerbaijani scenic designer and theater artist. The museum consists of two 19th century buildings standing next to each other. The museum's total collection includes over 15,000 artworks. There are over 3,000 items in 60 rooms on permanent display. About 12,000 items are kept in storage. The museum changes the exhibits periodically so that more of these artworks can be displayed temporarily.

Surat Davud oghlu Huseynov is an Azerbaijani colonel and ex-Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, who rose to prominence during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. His military career led, in 1993, to his rise to Prime Minister and later prison term.

Azerbaijani art is the art created by Azerbaijanis. They have created rich and distinctive art, a major part of which is applied art items. This form of art rooted in antiquity, is represented by a wide range of handicrafts, such as chasing (metalworking), jewellery-making, engraving, carving wood, stone and bone, carpet-making, lacing, pattern weaving and printing, and knitting and embroidery. Each of these decorative arts is evidence of the culture and the abilities of the Azerbaijan nation, and are very popular there. Many interesting facts pertaining to the development of arts and crafts in Azerbaijan were reported by merchants, travellers and diplomats who visited these places at different times.

Arif Huseynov is an Azerbaijani painter. He was awarded the titles of People's Artist of Azerbaijan (2006), and Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan (1992).

Azerbaijan participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Hour of the Wolf" written by Sandra Bjurman, Nicolas Rebscher, Nicklas Lif and Lina Hansson. The song was performed by Elnur Hüseynov, who was internally selected by the Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV) in March 2015 to represent the nation at the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. Hüseynov had previously represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 together with Samir Javadzadeh where they placed eighth with the song "Day After Day". The song "Hour of the Wolf" was presented to the public on 15 March.
