Albert Gregory Meyer was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago in Illinois from 1958 until his death in 1965, and was appointed a cardinal in 1959. He previously served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in Wisconsin from 1953 to 1958 and as bishop of the Diocese of Superior in Wisconsin from 1946 to 1953.

Its ecclesiastical territory includes 46 counties in western Oklahoma, with its cathedral in Oklahoma City. The Most Reverend Paul Stagg Coakley is the current archbishop. As such, he is the metropolitan of the ecclesiastical province which includes the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, the Diocese of Tulsa and the Diocese of Little Rock. Previously the bishop of the Diocese of Salina in Kansas, Archbishop Coakley was appointed to Oklahoma City on December 16, 2010 and installed as archbishop on February 11, 2011.

Following the death of Romulo T. Dela Cruz on December 10, 2021, the Metropolitan See is considered as vacant. Auxiliary Bishop Moises M. Cuevas is currently seated as the Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese since August 2021.
