Bobby Lutz is an American basketball coach. He is currently an Associate AD for the University of Mississippi Rebels men's basketball team. From 2016 to 2017, he was an assistant coach of the Windy City Bulls of the NBA Development League. He previously was an associate head coach at North Carolina State University Wolfpack men's basketball team after being an assistant coach there. Lutz was also head coach of the Charlotte 49ers basketball team from 1998 to 2010.

Jeff Mullins (basketball) American basketball player and coach

Jeffrey Vincent Mullins is an American retired basketball player and coach. He played college basketball with the Duke Blue Devils and in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the St. Louis Hawks and Golden State Warriors. Mullins served as the head basketball coach at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1985 to 1996.

Lee Hyden Rose was an American basketball coach and college athletic administrator. He served as the head men's basketball at Transylvania University, in an interim capacity in 1964–65 and on a permanent basis from 1968 to 1975; the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1975 to 1978; Purdue University from 1978 to 1980; and the University of South Florida from 1980 to 1986, compiling a career college basketball coach record in 388–162. Rose twice coached teams to the Final Four of the NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament, with Charlotte 49ers in 1977 and the Purdue Boilermakers in 1980. After leaving the college ranks, Rose was an assistant coach with several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) between 1986 and 2001.

Katie Meier American basketball player-coach (born 1967)

Katie Meier is head coach of the women's basketball team at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She is a 1990 graduate of Duke University, where she played college basketball.

Byron Stewart Dinkins is a retired American professional basketball player who played two seasons in the NBA, from 1989 to 1991. He played college basketball for UNC Charlotte. After his stint in the NBA Dinkins pursued a professional career in Greece.

Houston Fancher

Houston Fancher is an American basketball coach, previously the interim head coach of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team. Prior to that, he worked for four years at Tennessee, and the last two as the Director of Basketball Operations. From 2000 to 2009, he was the men's head basketball coach of the Mountaineers at Appalachian State University. His first two seasons saw his team go 11–20, and 10–18, respectively. The following season, 2002–03, his team went 19–10, and Fancher was named the Southern Conference Coach of the Year. In the 2006–07 season, his squad won a school record 25 games, but failed to make the NCAA Tournament, instead garnering Appalachian's first National Invitation Tournament (NIT) berth instead. On March 16, 2009, Fancher resigned as head coach following a disappointing 2008–09 season.

The Charlotte 49ers are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 49ers compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of Conference USA (C-USA). The teams are planning on joining the American Athletic Conference in July 2023.

The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in NCAA Division I basketball. The 49ers are charter members of Conference USA. Charlotte returned to C-USA in 2013 after leaving in 2005 to join the Atlantic 10 Conference. The 49ers have also played in the Sun Belt Conference and were a member of the Metro Conference, which merged with the Great Midwest Conference to form Conference USA.

This was head coach Bobby Lutz's twelfth season at Charlotte. The 49ers compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at Dale F. Halton Arena. They finished the season 19–12, 9–7 in A-10 play and lost in the first round of the 2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Tournament. They were not invited to a post season tournament.

2014–15 Charlotte 49ers mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2014–15 Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The 49ers, led by fifth head coach Alan Major, played their home games at the Dale F. Halton Arena and were members Conference USA. Major took an indefinite leave of absence January 6 for medical issues and was replaced by assistant coach Ryan Odom who finished the season as interim head coach. After the season ended, Major and the University agreed to mutually part ways. They finished the season 14–18, 7–11 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for eleventh place. They lost in the first round of the C-USA Tournament to Middle Tennessee.

Ryan Odom is an American men's college basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Utah State Aggies men's basketball team. He was previously the head coach of the Lenoir–Rhyne Bears and the UMBC Retrievers. Odom served as the interim head coach of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team from January 6 until March 15, 2015. In this capacity, he replaced Alan Major when Major went on a medical leave of absence to deal with chronic health issues.

The 2015–16 Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The 49ers, led by first year head coach Mark Price, played their home games at the Dale F. Halton Arena and were members Conference USA. They finished the season 14–19, 9–9 in C-USA play to finish in seventh place. They defeated Rice in the second round of the C-USA Tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Middle Tennessee.

The 2017–18 Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The 49ers, led by interim head coach Houston Fancher, played their home games at the Dale F. Halton Arena as members Conference USA. They finished the season 6–23, 2–16 in C-USA play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the C-USA Tournament.

The 49ers, led by sixth year head coach Cara Consuegra, play their home games at Dale F. Halton Arena and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 14–16, 10–6 in C-USA play to finish in a 4 way tie for third place. They lost in the first round of the C-USA Women's Tournament to North Texas.

2019–20 Charlotte 49ers mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2019–20 Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The 49ers, led by second-year head coach Ron Sanchez, played their home games at the Dale F. Halton Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina as members of Conference USA. They finished the season 16–13, 10–8 in C-USA play to finish in fourth place. They were set to be the No. 4 seed in the C-USA Tournament. However, they C-USA Tournament was canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 1976–77 UNC Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the 1976–77 college basketball season. This was head coach Lee Rose's second season at Charlotte. The 49ers competed in the Sun Belt Conference and played their home games at the original Charlotte Coliseum. They finished the season 28–5 and won the Sun Belt Tournament to receive a bid to the 1977 NCAA Tournament. The 49ers would defeat Central Michigan, No. 6 Syracuse, and No. 1 Michigan to reach the Final Four. Charlotte lost a 2-point game to the eventual national champion, Marquette, in the national semifinals before falling to UNLV in the consolation game.
