The following is a list of Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball head coaches. There have been 22 head coaches of the Mocs in their 105-season history. [1]

Chattanooga's current head coach is Dan Earl. He was hired as the Mocs' head coach in March 2022, [2] replacing Lamont Paris, who left to become the head coach at South Carolina. [3]

  1. Drew resigned seven games into the 1930–31 season, and was replaced by Phillips on a permanent basis.

He is originally from Medford Lakes, New Jersey and attended Shawnee High School in Medford, graduating in 1993. He was a 1993 Parade All-American and was named 1993 USA Today New Jersey Player of the Year in high school. He was named 2nd team All-Big Ten as a junior for the Penn State Nittany Lions before losing two seasons to injury. He completed his eligibility for the team in 1999 and led Penn State basketball in assists four seasons.

They finished the season 10–23, 3–15 in SoCon play to finish in last place. They defeated Samford in the first round of the SoCon tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to East Tennessee State.

The Mocs, led by fifth-year head coach Lamont Paris, played their home games at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as members of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 27–8, 14–4 in SoCon play to win the regular season SoCon championship. As the No. 1 seed in the SoCon tournament, they defeated The Citadel, Wofford, and Furman to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 13 seed in the South Region, where they lost in the first round to Illinois.

They finished the season 11–20, 4–14 in SEC play to finish in twelfth place. As the No. 12 seed in the SEC tournament, they lost to Ole Miss in the first round.

The 2008–09 Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team represented the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mocs, led by head coach John Shulman, played their home games at the McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as members of the Southern Conference. The Mocs won a share of the SoCon North Division title, and won the 2009 SoCon tournament, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the 16th seed in the West region. Chattanooga was beaten by top seed Connecticut in the first round, 103–47.
