The following is a list of Coppin State Eagles men's basketball head coaches. There have been seven head coaches of the Eagles in their 59-season history. [1]

Coppin State's most recent head coach is Larry Stewart. He was hired as the Eagles' head coach in March 2023, [2] replacing Juan Dixon, who was fired after the 2022–23 season. [3]

    Physical Education Complex is a 4,100-seat multi-purpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It was built in 2009 and became home to the Coppin State University men's basketball team in the 2009–2010 season. The women's basketball team and women's volleyball team also play at the facility. The arena replaced the Coppin Center.

They finished the season 12–20, 7–9 in MEAC play to finish in seventh place. They advanced to the semifinals of the MEAC tournament, where they lost to Morgan State.

    Michael Grant is an American college basketball coach for Allen University. He was also most recently the head coach for Coppin State University. He was also a graduate assistant at the University of Michigan where he helped coach his younger brother Gary Grant.

The Eagles, led by 4th year head coach Fang Mitchell, played their home games at the Coppin Center and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 26–7, 15–1 in MEAC play to win the conference regular season title. The Eagles then went on to win the MEAC tournament title to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament – the first in school history – as No. 15 seed in the Southeast region. Coppin State lost in the first round to No. 2 seed Syracuse, 70–48.

    Anthony Shey Tarke is an American professional basketball player for the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League. He played college basketball player for the NJIT Highlanders, UTEP Miners and Coppin State Eagles. He was named the MEAC Player of the Year for the 2020–21 season.

    The 1996–97 Coppin State Eagles men's basketball team represented Coppin State University during the 1996–97 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by 11th year head coach Fang Mitchell, played their home games at the Coppin Center and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 22–9, 15–3 in MEAC play to win the conference regular season title. The Eagles then went on to win the MEAC tournament title to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as No. 15 seed in the East region. In the opening round, Coppin State became the third No. 15 seed to win an NCAA Tournament game, and the first to do so by double digits, as they defeated No. 2 seed South Carolina 78–65. The Eagles narrowly missed out on becoming the first No. 15 seed to reach the Sweet Sixteen when they lost in the second round to No. 10 seed Texas, 82–81.
