Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya is a 2013 anime series by Silver Link based on the manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama, which is itself a spin-off of Type-Moon's visual novel, Fate/stay night . Set in an alternate universe to Fate/stay night and its prequel, Fate/Zero , the series follows Illyasviel von Einzbern, aka Illya, who reluctantly becomes a magical girl tasked with capturing magical cards scattered across the city. The anime aired on Tokyo MX between July 13 and September 14, 2013 and was simulcast by Crunchyroll. The anime is produced by Silver Link and directed by Miki Minato, Takashi Sakamoto and Shin Ōnuma, written by Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase with music by Tatsuya Katō. The opening theme song is "starlog" by Choucho and the ending theme song is "Prism Sympathy" by StylipS.
A second season, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei! , aired between July 10 and September 11, 2014. The second season's opening theme is "moving soul" by Minami Kuribayashi and the ending theme is "Two By Two" by Yumeha Kouda. The first two seasons are licensed in North America by Sentai Filmworks. The third season, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!, aired between July 25 and December 26, 2015. The third season's opening theme is "Wonder Stella" (ワンダーステラ) by Fhána while the ending themes are "Happening Diary" (ハプニング☆ダイアリー, Hapuningu Daiarī) for episodes 1-5 and "Wishing Diary" for episode's 6-10, both by Kouda.
A fourth season, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei!, aired between July 3, 2016 and September 21, 2016. The opening theme is "Asterism" by Choucho while the ending themes are "Whimsical Wayward Wish" by Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund feat. Yumeha Kouda. The ending theme for episode nine is "Cuddle" by ChouCho.

However, the enemy manages to block it with a shield and counterattacks, forcing the girls to retreat while Bazett charges in, only to get stabbed by multiple swords wielded by the enemy. As Bazett fights using the Berserker's power, Illya and Kuro stay behind to give her a chance to strike, but are still unable to defeat it. Barely managing to escape, Bazett informs the others that the enemy possesses a second Archer card, before it suddenly appears in the real world. | |||

As Caren theorises that the creature is targeting the Holy Grail, with Kuro deducing it relates to a different Holy Grail War entirely, the enemy starts heading towards Mt. As Angelica uses displacement magic to overwhelm Illya, she reveals that the Ainsworths are trying to save their world, which is slowly dying, by using Miyu as the Holy Grail. | |||

However, emerging from Darius' body is his son, Julian, who reveals a large black cube in the sky and uses its dark power to consume Erica and create an army of Heroic Spirits. Just as the army seemingly overwhelms them, they are saved by the arrival of Miyu's brother, who bears a strong resemblance to Shirou. | |||

As Miyu uses the Archer card to confront her, she becomes possessed by it until Gilgamesh retrieves it from her body. As Julian dispels the woman, Illya brings out her full power in an all-out attack. | |||

As Illya's attack fails to stop the regenerating army, Tanaka throws a mysterious sword into the middle of the fray, allowing Illya to damage the black cube and dispel the muck causing the army to grow. As Julian escapes with Erica and Beatrice, Bazett manages to retrieve a gem allowing Rin to properly heal Miyu's brother. After everyone, including Angelica, returns to Miyu's home, Illya and Kuro discover the sword she used was actually Tanaka's arm. Kana Ueda is a Japanese voice actress and singer represented by I'm Enterprise. She is a graduate of Kobe College's department of General Culture. She is best known as the voices of Yumi Fukuzawa in Maria-sama ga Miteru, Rin Tōsaka in Fate/stay night, Hayate Yagami in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers, and Rachel Alucard in BlazBlue. Ueda was raised in Osaka Prefecture and is known for her strong Kansai accent in some of her roles.
Fate/stay night is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon and originally released as an adult game for Windows on January 30, 2004. A version of Fate/stay night rated for ages 15 and up titled Fate/stay night Réalta Nua, which features the Japanese voice actors from the anime series, was released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and later for download on Windows as a trilogy covering the three main storylines: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel. Réalta Nua was also ported to the PlayStation Vita, iOS and Android. The plot focuses on a young mage named Shirou Emiya who becomes a warrior in a battle between "Servants" known as the Holy Grail War. Shirou bonds with a heroine through each route and confronts different adversaries participating in the war.

Comp Ace is a Japanese computer game and manga magazine published by Kadokawa Shoten. Comp Ace began as a special edition version of another one of Kadokawa Shoten's magazines, Comptiq. The first issue was released on March 26, 2005, and was published quarterly for the first three volumes which had cover illustrations by Itaru Hinoue of Key. Volumes four through nine were published bimonthly with cover art provided by Aoi Nishimata of Navel. Volume ten was published three months after volume nine, and from ten on the magazine was published monthly, now with new cover art by Naru Nanao, Hiro Suzuhira, and illustrators from Type-Moon and August. Starting with the August 2007 issue published on June 26, 2007, Comp Ace broke off from Comptiq and became its own magazine. Its main focus is on bishōjo games and manga that are based on said games.

Various other characters from Fate/stay night and its sequels and spin-offs also appear. A second manga series titled Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei was serialized from 2009 to 2012. A third manga series titled Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei!! began serialization in 2012.

Shirou Emiya, also written as "Shiro Emiya" in Fate/unlimited codes, is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the 2004 visual novel Fate/stay night, published by Type-Moon. Shirou is a teenager who accidentally participates in the "Holy Grail War" alongside six other mages looking for the eponymous treasure, an all-powerful, wish-granting relic. Shirou was the sole survivor of a fire in a city and was saved by a man named Kiritsugu Emiya who inspired him to become a hero and avoid killing people during fights. While fighting alongside the servant Saber, Shirou develops his own magical skills and, depending on the player's choices; he forms relationships with the novel's other characters. He also appears in the visual novel sequel Fate/hollow ataraxia, the prequel light novel Fate/Zero, and printed and animated adaptations of the original game.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei is the second season of the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya anime series. The episodes were directed by Shin Oonuma and Masato Jinbo and animated by Silver Link. The season is based on the first half of Hiroshi Hiroyama's Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei manga series, which is the second series of the Prisma Illya manga; an alternate universe spin-off of Type-Moon's visual novel Fate/stay night in which the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War from Fate/Zero never occurred and Illya lived a normal life. The plot of this season focuses on the arrival of Illya's "clone" Kuro, Illya learning more about her past as well as her role in the Holy Grail War and finding the rest of the Class Cards.

The film stars multiple voice actors including Noriaki Sugiyama, Kaori Nazuka, Rikiya Koyama, Natsuki Hanae and Noriko Shitaya for the main characters. The plot follows a teenager named Shirou Emiya who becomes involved in the mage conflict known as the Fifth Holy Grail War to protect his foster sister, Miyu Satsuki, from being used as a sacrifice by the Ainsworth clan.
