Mark Valentino Ingram Sr. is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants (1987–1992), the Miami Dolphins, the Green Bay Packers (1995), and the Philadelphia Eagles (1996). He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans. He is the father of Mark Ingram II, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2009 and is the New Orleans Saints' all-time leader in rushing yards.

Donald Amechi Igwebuike is a Nigerian-born former American football kicker who played professionally for the National Football League (NFL)'s Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1985 to 1989. He was selected by the Buccaneers in the tenth round of the 1985 NFL draft. He is the seventh place all-time scorer for the Buccaneers with 416 overall points. Often kicking barefoot, Igwebuike also played for the 1990 Minnesota Vikings and in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Baltimore Stallions in 1994 and the Memphis Mad Dogs in 1995. Earlier, he attended Clemson University and was brought on as the kicker for the football team on the recommendation of his childhood friend and graduating Clemson kicker Obed Ariri. He agreed to join the team as long as he could continue playing for the soccer team, and took a football scholarship to save the soccer team a slot. His first attempt, a 52-yarder, was during the first American football game he had ever attended. He started as the kicker for the Tigers' 1981 national championship team.

Cecil Frank Isbell was an American football quarterback and coach. He played 5 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Green Bay Packers, leading them to the NFL Championship in 1939. He retired after the 1942 season to become an assistant coach at his alma mater, Purdue University, and the following year became its head coach for three seasons.

Robert James "Hunchy" Hoernschemeyer was an American football player. A native of Cincinnati, he played college football as a halfback for the Indiana Hoosiers football in 1943 and 1944 and as a quarterback for the Navy Midshipmen football team in 1945. He led the NCAA in both total offense and passing yards during the 1943 season.

Sedrick Irvin is an American football coach and former player. He is the head coach at Raw 7v7. Irvin was formally the head football coach at Miami Senior High School and Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay, Florida. Irvin played college football at Michigan State University and professionally in the National Football League (NFL) with the Detroit Lions.

The 1988 Dallas Cowboys season was the franchise's 29th season in the National Football League. The team failed to improve on their 7–8 record from 1987, finishing at 3–13 and missing the playoffs for a third consecutive season. The 3–13 record in the 1988 season was the Cowboys' second worst season to that point in team history, surpassed only by its winless inaugural season in 1960.

The 1984 Clemson Tigers football team was an American football team that represented Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 1984 NCAA Division I-A football season. In its seventh season under head coach Danny Ford, the team compiled a 7–4 record, and outscored opponents by a total of 346 to 215. The team played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.

The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
