Michael Lloyd Miller is an American basketball coach, former professional player who is the boys' basketball head coach at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, as well as being a sports agent. He played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after being selected by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the 2000 NBA draft with the fifth overall pick. Miller was named the NBA Rookie of the Year with the Magic in 2001 and was voted NBA Sixth Man of the Year with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2006. He won two consecutive NBA championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013.

Oakland received The Summit League's automatic berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament as a #13 seed against #4 seeded Texas. The Golden Grizzlies lost the game 85–81.

The Golden Grizzlies, led by 29th year head coach Greg Kampe, played their home games at the Athletics Center O'rena and were members of The Summit League. They finished the season 16–17, 10–6 in The Summit League to finish in fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of The Summit League tournament to Fort Wayne. They were invited to the 2013 CIT where they lost in the first round to Youngstown State. This was the Golden Grizzlies last year as a member of The Summit League as they joined the Horizon League in the 2013–14 season.

The Golden Grizzlies, led by 38th-year head coach Greg Kampe, played their home games at the Athletics Center O'rena in Auburn Hills, Michigan as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 20–12, 12–7 in Horizon League play to finish in fifth place. They defeated IUPUI in the first round of the Horizon League tournament before losing to Wright State in the quarterfinals. They declined an invitation to The Basketball Classic postseason tournament due to injuries to several players.

The Golden Grizzlies, led by 39th-year head coach Greg Kampe, played their home games at the Athletics Center O'rena in Auburn Hills, Michigan as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 13–18, 11–9 in Horizon League play to finish in fifth place. They were defeated by eventual tournament champions Northern Kentucky in the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League tournament.
