Chthonic is a Taiwanese heavy metal band, formed in 1995 in Taipei. They have been called "the Black Sabbath of Asia." The group incorporates influences from traditional Taiwanese music, including adaptations of folk songs and the use of traditional instruments, most notably the erhu. Their stated goal is to use their music to bring ancient history and mythology into the modern era especially to build awareness of the myths of Taiwan and tragic events in that country's history.

F.I.R. is Taiwanese Mandopop pop rock band F.I.R.'s debut Mandarin studio album. It was released on 23 May 2004 by Warner Music Taiwan. The last track "Next Album Preview" vaguely announces that their second album Unlimited would have an electric rock track.

The National Chinese Orchestra, Taiwan is a national-level Chinese orchestra of Taiwan. It is currently a dispatched unit of the National Center for Traditional Arts under the Ministry of Culture. The orchestra is stationed at the Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center in Taipei City.

The Golden Melody Jury Award is a Golden Melody Award presented by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan, established in the 18th Golden Melody Awards in 2007 to honor an extraordinary body of work that the jury decides to be unique and exemplary. According to the Golden Melody Award, the award does not objectively judge under a set of criteria, but can only hand out the award if more than two-thirds of the jury decides to recognize the work after review and discussion. The award is not given if the jury does not meet a consensus.
Kou Chou Ching is a local Taiwanese band founded in 2003, is known for its public commentaries on current affairs since 2014, its 2020 hiatus and reorganization, and its 2022 comeback. The band's music style is mainly hip-hop, with elements of local music. The lyrics are mostly in Taiwanese and Hakka, describing the local society. The current members of the band are fishLIN, Zhu Pei and J.CHEN.
