The United States had an official estimated resident population of 335,893,238 on Jan 1, 2024, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This figure includes the 50 states and Washington, D.C. but excludes the population of five unincorporated U.S. territories as well as several minor island possessions. The United States is the third most populous country in the world, and the most populous in the Americas and the Western Hemisphere. The Census Bureau showed a population increase of 0.4% for the twelve-month period ending in July 2022, below the world average annual rate of 0.9%. The total fertility rate in the United States estimated for 2022 is 1.665 children per woman, which is below the replacement fertility rate of approximately 2.1. By several metrics, including racial and ethnic background, religious affiliation, and percentage of rural and urban divide, Illinois is the most representative of the larger demography of the United States.
Dukes County is a county in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. At the 2020 census, the population was 20,600, making it the second-least populous county in Massachusetts. Its county seat is Edgartown.
Varnell is a city in Whitfield County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Dalton, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,179 at the 2020 census.
St. Bonaventure is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Allegany in Cattaraugus County, New York, United States. The population was 1,963 at the 2020 census.
Krum is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 4,157 at the 2010 census, more than doubling its 2000 census population of 1,984. By 2020, its population was 5,483.
Briar is a census-designated place (CDP) in Parker, Tarrant and Wise counties in the U.S. state of Texas, near the west side of Eagle Mountain Lake.The population was 7,035 in 2020.
Pecan Acres is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tarrant and Wise counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 4,808 in 2020.
Agency Village is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Roberts County, South Dakota, United States. It is the headquarters of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate and home to Sisseton Wahpeton College. Since 2020, the CDP includes the community known as Goodwill. The population of the CDP was 776 at the 2020 census.
The United States has a racially and ethnically diverse population. At the federal level, race and ethnicity have been categorized separately. The most recent United States census recognized five racial categories, as well as people who belong to two or more of the racial categories. The United States also recognizes the broader notion of ethnicity. The 2000 census and 2010 American Community Survey inquired about the "ancestry" of residents, while the 2020 census allowed people to enter their "origins". The Census Bureau also classified respondents as either Hispanic or Latino, identifying as an ethnicity, which comprises the minority group in the nation.
Romancoke is a census-designated place on Queen Anne's in Maryland, United States, located at the southern terminus of Maryland Route 8. Romancoke was changed from an unincorporated community to a census-designated place for the 2020 Census listing a population of 1,855. The name "Romancoke" comes from the Algonquian word for "circling of the water." William Claiborne, who founded Kent Island, also had a plantation in Virginia named Romancoke.
Pacific Islander Americans are Americans who are of Pacific Islander ancestry. For its purposes, the United States census also counts Aboriginal Australians as part of this group.
Alexis is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. It is located approximately three miles north of Stanley. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 589.
DeBordieu Colony, DeBordieu Beach or simply DeBordieu is a private, unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Georgetown County, South Carolina, United States. It consists of approximately 2,700 acres (11 km2) of land, of which roughly 800 acres is inaccessible wildlife preserve. Parts of DeBordieu lie on Debidue Island. DeBordieu is located south of Pawleys Island and north of Georgetown east of U.S. Route 17. It is an oceanfront gated community with a private golf and country club.
Callaway is a census designated place in St. Mary's County, Maryland, United States. The elevation is 105 feet (32 m). Per the 2020 Census, the population was 1,779.
Foster Center is a village in the town of Foster, Rhode Island, United States. It was listed as a census-designated place (CDP) in 2010, with a population of 355. Historic elements of the village are included in the Foster Center Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 11, 1974. The district features various colonial and Greek Revival houses as well as the still functioning town building from the late 18th century.
Mount Olive is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Izard County, Arkansas, United States. Mount Olive is located on the White River, 11.1 miles (17.9 km) west-southwest of Melbourne.
Flower Hill is a census-designated place in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. It has a population of 14,108 as of its first recording in the 2020 census.
Chesapeake Landing is a census designated place in Kent County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 Census, the population was 472.
