Muhammad Rafiq Tarar was a Pakistani politician and jurist who served as the ninth president of Pakistan from January 1998 until his resignation in June 2001, and prior to that as a senator from Punjab in 1997. Before entering politics, Tarar served as senior justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 1992 to 1994 and as the 28th Chief Justice of Lahore High Court from 1989 to 1991.
Nasim Hasan Shah was a Pakistani jurist and served as Chief Justice of Pakistan. He is best known for his role in the verdict against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, which resulted in the death penalty.

Sheikh Anwarul Haq, was a Pakistani jurist and an academic who served as the 9th Chief Justice of Pakistan from 23 September 1977 until resigning on 25 March 1981. He signed the death warrant for former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in a controversial murder case. Bhutto was executed on April 4, 1979.

Mehr Chand Mahajan was an Indian jurist and politician who was the third chief justice of the Supreme Court of India. Prior to that he was the prime minister of the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the reign of Maharaja Hari Singh and played a key role in the accession of the state to India. He was the Indian National Congress nominee on the Radcliffe Commission that defined the boundaries of India and Pakistan.

Sardar Muhammad Aslam was a Pakistani jurist, lawyer, and member justice of the Lahore High Court. He was also a justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a former chief justice of the Islamabad High Court. However, as result of Constitution Petition No. 09 of 2009 and Constitution Petition No. 08 of 2009 in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, on 31 July 2009, the court held his elevation to Supreme Court as unconstitutional, void ab initio and of no legal effect. In addition in the same decision, the institution of Islamabad High Court was held as unconstitutional and of no legal effect.
Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry is a former justice in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a former chief justice of the Lahore High Court. Before elevation to the judge of the Lahore High Court, he was serving as an additional Advocate General Punjab to represent the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. Earlier he remained Assistant Advocate General Punjab from 1988 to 1995.

Umar Ata Bandial is a Pakistani jurist who served as the 28th Chief Justice of Pakistan from February 2022 to September 2023. He was appointed as the Chief Justice after the approval by President Arif Alvi on 13 January 2022, after which he assumed his office on 2 February 2022 and retired on 16 September 2023.
The Federation of Pakistan v. General (R) Pervez Musharraf, informally known as the Musharraf high treason case, was a court case, in which General Pervez Musharraf who acted in the capacity as chief of army staff, tried for high treason stemming from his imposing of unconstitutional state of emergency on 3 November 2007. In this act, Gen. Musharraf, who was also elected as President of Pakistan, subverted and suspended the writ of the Constitution of Pakistan, dismissing the fifteen justices of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the fifty-six judges of the provincial High Courts while issuing arrest orders to Chief Justice of Pakistan.
