Peshawar District is a district in Peshawar Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is located about 160 km west of the Pakistan's capital Islamabad. The district headquarter is Peshawar, which is also the capital of Khyber Paktunkhwa.
Hayatabad is an upscale suburb on the western outskirts of Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It borders the now defunct Tribal Areas, and is close to Torkham - which is the major border crossing point between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The suburb is home to several of Peshawar's educational and health institutions. Hayatabad is named after Hayat Sherpao - a leftist politician assassinated in 1975.
Risalpur is a city in Nowshera District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on the Nowshera-Mardan Road. It is nearly 45 km from Peshawar and 18 km from Mardan and is located at 34°4'52N 71°58'21E. In a basin some 1014 feet above sea level, it is bounded on the south and west by the Kabul and Kalpani rivers, respectively. The famous Khyber Pass lies 90 kilometers to the north.
Akora Khattak or Sarai Akora is a town in Jehangira tehsil of Nowshera District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Nowshera Cantonment is located to the east while Jahangira town is located west of Akora Khattak.
Thall also spells Tall is a town in Thall Tehsil of Hangu District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Thall is located at 33°21'52N 70°32'52E with an altitude of 742 metres.
Azakhel Bala is a village in Pabbi Tehsil of Nowshera District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It lies along the Grand Trunk Road and Pir Paiai Railway, some 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of Nowshera. The majority of the population of Azakhel Bala are engaged in agriculture, mainly potatoes, sugar cane, wheat, corn, tomato, cucumber and numerous other vegetables. According to the Pakistan Forest Institute, "pale yellow silt-stone forms the soil parent material near Azakhel Bala village." There is an Afghan Refugee Camp located here.
Ouch is a town in Lower Dir District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The town has seen extensive expansion and enjoys good communication as it is located on the main N45 Dir Road, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of Chakdara. The region is about 138 km (86 mi) away from Peshawar and 48 km (30 mi) away from Saidu Sharif and is mainly known for its shoemakers and gold-sellers.
