In 1953, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Azerbaijan SSR and the Ministry of Public Security of the Azerbaijan SSR were merged into a single Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan SSR. In 1954 was founded the KGB of Azerbaijan SSR.

Fuzuli is a city and the capital of the Fuzuli District of Azerbaijan.
Internal troops, sometimes alternatively translated as interior troops or interior ministry forces, are military or paramilitary, gendarmerie-like law enforcement services, which are found mostly in the post-Soviet states, primarily Russia. Internal troops are subordinated to the interior minister of their respective countries.
The Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (NKAO) was an autonomous oblast within the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic that was created on July 7, 1923. Its capital was the city of Stepanakert. The leader of the oblast was the First Secretary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. The majority of the population were ethnic Armenians.
The Ministry for National Security or MNS is the secret police agency for the government of Turkmenistan. It is composed largely of the remnants of KGB organs left over after the collapse of the Soviet Union; its functions remain largely the same as well. The MNB and the national police force are under the direction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Until 2002, it was known as the KNB.
The Committee for State Security (CSS) was the main security agency for the Soviet Union from 13 March 1954 until 3 December 1991. As a direct successor of preceding agencies such as the Cheka, GPU, OGPU, NKGB, NKVD and MGB, it was attached to the Council of Ministers. It was the chief government agency of "union-republican jurisdiction", carrying out internal security, foreign intelligence, counter-intelligence and secret police functions. Similar agencies operated in each of the republics of the Soviet Union aside from the Russian SFSR, where the KGB was headquartered, with many associated ministries, state committees and state commissions.
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan or MN is an Azerbaijani government agency that is associated with the Azerbaijani military. The ministry is responsible for keeping Azerbaijan defended against external threats, preserving its territorial integrity, waging war on behalf of Azerbaijan, and the surveillance of the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea sea and airspace. The Minister of Defense is appointed and removed from the post by the Commander-in-chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the President of Azerbaijan.
The Nukha uezd was a county (uezd) of the Elizavetpol Governorate of the Russian Empire and later of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic with its center in Nukha from 1868 until its formal abolition in 1921 by the Soviet authorities of the Azerbaijan SSR.
The FSB Academy, in full the Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, is an education and research institution federally chartered to prepare Russian intelligence personnel for the Federal Security Service in particular and for the Russian Intelligence Community in general.
Anti-Armenian sentiment or Armenophobia is widespread in Azerbaijan, mainly due to the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI), Armenians are "the most vulnerable group in Azerbaijan in the field of racism and racial discrimination." A 2012 opinion poll found that 91% of Azerbaijanis perceive Armenia as "the biggest enemy of Azerbaijan." The word "Armenian" (erməni) is widely used as an insult in Azerbaijan. Stereotypical opinions circulating in the mass media have their deep roots in the public consciousness.
Hamid Hasan oglu Sultanov was a Soviet Azerbaijani politician, People's Commissar for Internal Affairs of the Azerbaijan SSR and later Chair of the Council of People's Commissars of the Nakhchivan ASSR.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is the interior ministry or national police force of Turkmenistan. The ministry directly controls the Turkmen police force, consisting of about 25,000 personnel, and works with the Ministry for National Security on matters of law enforcement and national defense. The primary tasks of the police force include maintaining law and public security, crime prevention and investigation, passport control, road and fire safety, and international cooperation in law enforcement. The ministry works with INTERPOL. The current minister is Mämmethan Çakyýew. The ministry was founded on February 19, 1998, by decree of President Saparmurat Niyazov “On the formation of the police of Turkmenistan”.
The National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a uniformed independent formation within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The headquarters of the National Guard is based in Tashkent, where most of the 30,000 soldiers that make up the force are located. As of 2020, the individual in charge of the UNG is currently Rustam Jo'raev. He succeeded Colonel General Bakhodir Tashmatov and Botir Tursunov.
Bilateral relations exist between Azerbaijan and Jordan. Cooperation between the countries is carried out in such areas as justice, tourism, defense, Information and communication technologies (ICT), transport, statistics, military affairs, standardization, emergency management, etc.
Azerbaijan–Syria relations refer to the bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Syrian Arab Republic in political, socio-economic, cultural and other spheres. Syria is accredited to Azerbaijan from its embassy in Tehran, Iran.
Azerbaijan-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations refer to the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Azerbaijan has a diplomatic office in Sarajevo. Bosnia and Herzegovina has a non resident ambassador in Ankara, Turkey.
Sergey Alimovich Melikov, is a Russian statesman and military leader, who has served as the 5th Head of the Republic of Dagestan since 14 October 2021.
