The current mayor of Naranjito is Orlando Ortíz Chevres, from the New Progressive Party (PNP), elected in 2008. He became first mayor of the New Progressive Party in Naranjito in its extensive political history. [1]

Ponce is a city and a municipality on the southern coast of Puerto Rico. The most populated city outside the San Juan metropolitan area, was founded on August 12, 1692 and is named after Juan Ponce de León y Loayza, the great-grandson of Spanish conquistador Juan Ponce de León. Ponce is often referred to as La Perla del Sur, La Ciudad Señorial, and La Ciudad de las Quenepas.
Hatillo is a town and municipality located in Puerto Rico's north coast, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Lares and Utuado to the south, Camuy to the west, and Arecibo to the east. According to the 2000 US Census Hatillo is spread over nine barrios and Hatillo Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Naranjito is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the central region of the island, south of Toa Alta; north of Barranquitas and Comerío; east of Corozal; and west of Bayamón. Naranjito is spread over 7 barrios and Naranjito Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Toa Alta is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the northern coast of the island, north of Naranjito; south of Dorado and Toa Baja; east of Vega Alta and Corozal; and west of Bayamón. Toa Alta is spread over eight barrios and Toa Alta Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo metropolitan statistical area. There are nine barrios in Toa Alta and altogether in 2020 had a population of 66,852. Río de la Plata, is a large river that runs through Toa Alta. Toa Alta celebrates its patron saint festival in May.
The Mayor of Ponce is the head of government of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The current mayor is Luis Irizarry Pabón.
Luis Antonio ("Wito") Morales Crespo was a Puerto Rican politician and Mayor of Ponce, Puerto Rico, from 1973 to 1976. He was also Senator for the District of Ponce from 1977 to 1980 and president of the Ponce Municipal Assembly from 1989 to 2004 He is recognized as a politician, sportsman, and sports broadcaster.
Naranjito barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center (seat) of Naranjito, a municipality of Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 1,157.
Achiote is a barrio in the municipality of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,919.
Cedro Arriba is a barrio in the municipality of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,876.
Cedro Abajo is a barrio in the municipality of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 4,627.
Lomas is a barrio in the municipality of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,865.
Guadiana is a barrio in the municipality of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,978.
The mayors of Puerto Rico encompass the different mayors of the municipalities of Puerto Rico; each mayor being the highest-ranking officer of their corresponding municipality. Several laws existed that created the post of mayor in each municipality but they were all repealed in favor of a broad and encompassing law known as the Autonomous Municipalities Act of 1991.
The Museo del Autonomismo Puertorriqueño is a small museum in Ponce, Puerto Rico, that showcases the political history of Puerto Rico with an emphasis on the contributions made by the municipality of Ponce and its residents. The museum was established on 7 September 2006.
Rafael "June" Rivera Ortega is a Puerto Rican politician affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP). He was a member of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives from 2005 to 2021 representing District 28.
Orlando Ortiz Chevres is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Naranjito. Ortiz is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and has served as mayor since 2009.
Andrés Caparrós García was Mayor of Ponce, Puerto Rico, from 1 October 1881 to 28 September 1882.
