This was the first in the CSI franchise, and starred William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Ted Danson, Laurence Fishburne, Elisabeth Shue and Paul Guilfoyle. The series concluded with a feature-length finale, "Immortality." A sequel, CSI: Vegas, premiered in 2021.

CSI: NY is an American police procedural television series that ran on CBS from September 22, 2004, to February 22, 2013, for a total of nine seasons and 197 original episodes. The show follows the investigations of a team of NYPD forensic scientists and police officers identified as "Crime Scene Investigators" as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths, as well as other crimes. The series is an indirect spin-off from the veteran series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and a direct spin-off from CSI: Miami, during an episode in which several of the CSI: NY characters made their first appearances. It is the third series in the CSI franchise.

Avery is notable within the series for taking chances on former hackers and for the fact that she herself has been hacked. The second and final season of CSI: Cyber premiered on October 4, 2015. The series stars Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek, Shad Moss, Charley Koontz, Hayley Kiyoko, and Ted Danson.

"Kitty" is the twenty-first episode of the fourteenth season in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. "Kitty" introduced FBI Agent Avery Ryan from the spin-off CSI: Cyber which this episode served as the backdoor pilot of the series. Despite being credited Jorja Fox and Jon Wellner who portray Sara Sidle and Henry Andrews do not appear in this episode.

CSI: Vegas is an American crime drama television series that debuted on CBS on October 6, 2021. It is a sequel to the long-running series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and the fifth series in the CSI franchise. The first season stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, reprising their roles from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, while Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon portray new characters. Wallace Langham and Paul Guilfoyle also reprise their roles as David Hodges and Jim Brass, being credited as guest stars. Originally branded as an epilogue limited series, it was renewed for a second season in December 2021, without Fox, Petersen, or Rodriguez returning. The first season consisted of ten episodes. The second season is scheduled to premiere on September 29, 2022.
