Craig McCracken is an American animator, writer, director, producer, storyboard artist, and designer known as the creator of popular animated series such as The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends for Cartoon Network, as well as Wander Over Yonder for Disney Channel. McCracken started his career professionally serving as an art director and storyboard artist for 2 Stupid Dogs and Dexter's Laboratory. He has been married to fellow animator Lauren Faust since 2004. His latest work, Kid Cosmic, premiered on Netflix in February 2021 and became his first serialized series.
The Powerpuff Girls Movie is a 2002 American animated superhero film based on the Cartoon Network animated television series of the same name. The film was directed by series' creator Craig McCracken at his feature-length directorial debut, written by McCracken, Charlie Bean, Lauren Faust, Paul Rudish, and Don Shank, and stars the regular television cast of Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong, E. G. Daily, Roger L. Jackson, Tom Kane, Tom Kenny, and Jennifer Hale. Serving as a prequel to the series, the film tells the origin story of how the Powerpuff Girls were created and how they came to be the defenders of Townsville. James L. Venable, who composed the score for the series, composed the film's score.

Faust has collaborated with her husband Craig McCracken on the animated series The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Wander Over Yonder, and Kid Cosmic. Faust developed the 2019 television series DC Super Hero Girls, and as of 2021, she is developing an unannounced animated series for Netflix.

Blossom Utonium, or simply Blossom, is a fictional character that serves as the one of the protagonists of the The Powerpuff Girls franchise, making her first appearance in the Whoopass Stew (1994) pilot and fully being introduced in The Powerpuff Girls (1998). The character was introduced as the tactician and self-proclaimed leader of the Powerpuff Girls. She is portrayed as the most level-headed, intelligent, and composed member of the group and also the strongest and most determined. She has long red-orange waist-length hair with bangs in a triangular part, decorated with a red bow and a pink hair clip with a red heart. Her unique abilities include Ice breath, microscopic vision, lightning bolts, and advanced intelligence; she is also an exceptional leader, master strategist, and apt planner.

It was first announced on June 16, 2014. A year later, it was announced that it would feature new voice actors for the main characters. The series premiered on April 4, 2016, in the United States and Canada, April 21, 2016 in Italy, and April 23, 2016, in Germany. The series ended on June 16, 2019, lasting for three years.
Blisstina Utonium, better known by the nickname Bliss, is a fictional character created for the 2016 series The Powerpuff Girls and made her first appearance in the five-part television movie The Power of Four, which was released in 2017. The character was introduced as the older sister to the three original Powerpuff Girls, having been absent during all their lives because of running away when she lost control of her powers. She is portrayed as a teenager, being much taller and having wider hips than the other Powerpuff Girls, and she also has darker skin. The character has been widely interpreted as being black and to a lesser degree Hispanic. She is marketed as the fourth Powerpuff Girl and was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics.
Lego The Powerpuff Girls was a Lego theme based on the Cartoon Network television show The Powerpuff Girls of the same name. It is licensed from Cartoon Network. Before the launch of the Lego The Powerpuff Girls theme, the two packs was released for the Lego Dimensions toys-to-life video game in 2017. The theme was first introduced in 2018. The product line was discontinued by the end of 2019.
