Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) is the premier professional men's club basketball league in Lithuania. It is composed of 10 teams, and it is a member of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The best LKL clubs are also annual participants of the top European-wide basketball competitions, including the top-tier level EuroLeague.

Lietuvos moksleivių krepšinio lyga (MKL) is the Lithuanian boys' and girls' pupils basketball league. The league is divided into 12 age-based categories, starting from Under-12 and ending with Under-19. Chocolate bars producer Manija is the general sponsor of the league.

The Lithuania men's students basketball team represents Lithuania at various students competitions. Most of the team members plays at the Lietuvos studentų krepšinio lyga, though some of them are members of the professional basketball clubs, such as Žalgiris Kaunas and Lietuvos rytas Vilnius. The team won gold medals at the 2007 Summer Universiade and bronze medals at the 2011 Summer Universiade.
The 2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė, also known as KIDY Tour – Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė for sponsorship purposes, was the first edition of the newly formed Lithuanian King Mindaugas Cup. It's managed by the Lithuanian Basketball League and the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The competition was held in Vilnius, in the Siemens Arena on February 19–21, 2016.

The 2018–19 Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, also called Betsafe-LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the 26th season of the top-tier level professional basketball league of Lithuania, the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). According to the preliminary schedule, the Betsafe LKL championship started on 22 September 2018, and will end no later than 31 May 2019.
