Overview

The Rockfords features members of Goodness and Pearl Jam. The album was recorded on December 13, 2003 at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle, Washington. The songs performed at the concert come from the band's debut album, The Rockfords , as well as the EP Waiting... , which was released in early 2004. The album was released through Kufala Recordings in 2003.

Goodness featured Akre (vocals), Danny Newcomb, Garth Reeves (guitar), Fiia McGann (bass), and Chris Friel (drums). Akre, Friel, and Newcomb later joined Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Rick Friel to form the rock band The Rockfords.

The band's principal members included guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, lead singer Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and bassist John Baker Saunders. Mad Season released only one album, Above, in March 1995. Its first single, "River of Deceit", was a radio success, and Above was certified a gold record by the RIAA in June.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pearl Jam in 2017.
