Loek Bos (born The Hague, November 4, 1946) is a Dutch cartoonist, painter and sculptor. He is a member of the Pulchri Studio in The Hague. Among his works is a memorial to the composer Cornelis Dopper, erected in Stadskanaal in 2010.

The Hague is a city on the western coast of the Netherlands on the North Sea, the administrative and royal capital of the Netherlands and the capital of the province of South Holland. The second Kok cabinet, also called the second Purple cabinet was the executive branch of the Dutch government from 3 August 1998 until 22 July 2002. The cabinet was a continuation of the previous first Kok cabinet and was formed by the social-democratic Labour Party (PvdA), the conservative-liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and the social-liberal Democrats 66 after the election of 1998. The Royal Academy of Art is an art and design academy in The Hague. Succeeding the Haagsche Teeken-Academie, the academy was founded on 29 September 1682, making it the oldest in the Netherlands and one of the oldest in the world. The academy has been the training ground for a number of significant artists of the Hague School. It was part of the art movement of Dutch Impressionism and in the immediate vicinity of the II. Golden Age of Dutch painting. In the 19th century, however, training was still strongly oriented towards the classic curriculum. At the end of the 19th century, the academy had opened to Modernism, too.
Haagse Bos is a rectangular neighbourhood and forest in the Haagse Hout district of The Hague, Netherlands, reaching from the old city centre in the south-west to the border of Wassenaar in the north-east. It is also one of the oldest remaining forests of the country. During World War II, the park was used by the Germans for launching V-1 and V-2 rockets.

Bezuidenhout is the neighborhood southeast of the Haagse Bos neighborhood of The Hague in the Netherlands. Bezuidenhout includes the Beatrixkwartier financial area near the Central Station and streets such as Bezuidenhoutseweg, Juliana van Stolberglaan, Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indië, Prins Clauslaan, and Theresiastraat.
Haagse Hout is one of the eight districts of The Hague. This area was originally called Die Haghe Houte, which later became the current Haagse Hout. The district has 45,600 residents as of 2018. Ludovicus Jacobus Maria "Loek" van Mil was a Dutch professional baseball pitcher. At the height of 7 feet 1 inch (2.16 m), he was one of the tallest players in the history of professional baseball. He played for Curaçao Neptunus of the Honkbal Hoofdklasse and for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). On the Netherlands national baseball team he served as the team's closer in the 2013 World Baseball Classic and the 2015 Premier 12 and appeared in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. He missed the 2008 Summer Olympics due to injury.

Roel Bos, better known by his stage name Glenn Saxson, was a Dutch actor and film producer. Bos moved to Italy in 1964 and starred in several Western films as well as the lead in the superhero film Kriminal and its sequel Il marchio di Kriminal. Following these roles he continued acting in Italian and German productions until the late 1960s. He began work in the 1970s as a producer as he had "more artistic ideas in mind", and worked with director Sergio Nasca, producing his films The Profiteer and Vergine e di nome Maria.
