Londa Schiebinger

Londa Schiebinger is the John L. Hinds Professor of History of Science, Department of History, and by courtesy the d-school, Stanford University. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1984. An international authority on the theory, practice, and history of gender in science, she is currently Director of Gendered Innovations in Science, Medicine, Engineering, and Environment Project. She is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Schiebinger received honorary doctorates from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium (2013), from the Faculty of Science, Lund University, Sweden (2017), and from Universitat de València, Spain (2018). She serves on the international advisory board of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society.

Namond Brice

Namond Brice is a fictional character on the HBO drama The Wire, played by Julito McCullum. Namond is the son of Wee-Bey Brice and De'Londa Brice and is a middle school student during season 4. He is friends with Michael Lee and Randy Wagstaff and often bullies Duquan "Dukie" Weems. Namond lives with his mother and the two are well looked after by money from the Barksdale drug dealing organization that his father was a part of. Wee-Bey is serving consecutive life sentences for multiple homicides committed on behalf of the Barksdales, having even confessed to crimes he did not commit. Grateful because Wee-Bey shielded the rest of the organization by taking the prison sentence on himself, the Barksdales provide for Namond and De'Londa. Even after the organization is shattered by the incarceration of Avon Barksdale, his sister Brianna Barksdale continues to pay them. This steady income means that Namond is much better off than his peers.

The Barksdale Organization is a fictional drug-dealing gang on the television series The Wire. Many of the characters featured in season one of The Wire belong to this organization. Season 1 largely deals with the Baltimore Police Department setting up a Major Crimes Unit to investigate the Barksdale Organization, led by Avon Barksdale who is portrayed as the most powerful drug kingpin in Baltimore.

Pune–Miraj–Londa line

The Pune–Miraj–Londa line is a railway line connecting Pune in Maharashtra and Londa in Karnataka. It traverses the Western ghats and covers a distance of 468 kilometres (291 mi) across Maharashtra and Karnataka. Of the total 468 km distance of this line, 280 km stretch falls under the jurisdiction of Central Railways and the remaining 188 km section under South Western Railway. Despite heavy rail traffic, this line continues to be a single-track non-electrified railway line. Miraj Junction is one of the oldest Junction classified as 'A1' Category of Stations will be renovated by Central Government by 2022. Due to Broad Gauge completion between Miraj-Kurduwadi-Parli-Purna, better connectivity has been developed between Marathwada and Western Maharashtra. Karad - Chiplun Railway line Survey has been completed by the Central Railway team to connect to Jaigad Port as part of the Central Government's Sagarmala Project and expected to start work soon to get connectivity to Konkan Railway with Central Railway. Currently, passengers from Satara, Karad, Miraj, and Kolhapur are solely dependent on MSRTC as there is no direct train to visit the Konkan region for festivals and vacations.
