Tranmere Rovers Football Club is a professional association football club based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England. Founded in 1884 as Belmont Football Club, they adopted their current name in 1885. They were a founder member of Division Three North in 1921, and were a member of The Football League until 2015, when they were relegated to the National League, the fifth tier of English football. On 12 May 2018, they beat Boreham Wood in the 2017–18 National League playoff final to regain their status as a Football League member.

Lorraine Rogers is the niece of Alan Rogers, a well travelled football manager who enjoyed success in Iran and Cyprus during his career. [3]

Prenton Park is an association football stadium in Birkenhead, England. It is the home ground of Tranmere Rovers F.C., Liverpool F.C. Women and Liverpool F.C. Reserves. Its main tenant Tranmere Rovers F.C. moved here in 1912. Tranmere Rovers Ladies Football Club are an English team founded in 1990, based in the Wirral, and affiliated with Tranmere Rovers F.C. The 1921–22 season was the first season of league football played by Tranmere Rovers. They joined the Football League Third Division North, when it was established after the restructuring of the English league system. The club played their first fixture, against Crewe Alexandra, at Prenton Park on 27 August 1921, winning 4–1.

The 2014–15 season was the 114th season of competitive association football and the 88th season in the Football League played by Tranmere Rovers Football Club, a professional football club based in Birkenhead, Wirral. The results on the final day of the 2013–14 season meant Tranmere were relegated from League One and were to spend this season in League Two for the first time since promotion from it in 1988–89. On 11 August, former Football Association chief executive and ex-Tranmere Rovers player Mark Palios and his wife Nicola took a controlling interest in the club from outgoing chairman Peter Johnson.
