"Génesis" is the name given to the third studio album by the Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actress, Mary Ann Acevedo, released on January 1, 2012 worldwide through digital download and on December 7, 2012 on compact disc. Originally the album was confirmed for release in February 2010 as "El Amor es la Solución", but with the birth of her daughter, Mary Ann had to delay the departure of the album to April 2010; then GT Musik announced the album release was delayed for a few months. She agreed that her homonymous first album was a continuation of her tenure in the third edition of "Objetivo Fama". On that album, the songs were chosen when Mary Ann left the reality show; in December she was released a special production titled Cántale a tu Bebé.

It was written by Valentina Parraga, directed by David Posada and Gaviria; with Martha Godoy and Mary-Kathryn Kennedy as General Producer and Aurelio Valcárcel Carroll as Executive Producer. This telenovela was aired in at least 10 countries around the world.

The original story, written by Delia Fiallo, has inspired several variations and adaptations through the years, most of them by Fiallo, both for television and cinema. In 1972, Venevisión aired its own remake.

The Latin Grammy Trustees Award is an award presented annually by the Latin Recording Academy, the same organization that distributes the Latin Grammy Awards, to individuals "who have made significant contributions, other than performance, to Latin music during their careers". Recipients can include producers, songwriters, composers, record label executives, and journalists. Award recipients are honored during "Latin Grammy Week", a string of galas prior to the annual Latin Grammy Awards ceremony. Since its inception, the award has been presented to recipients originating from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The award was first presented to Mexican composer and musician Manuel Esperón. Since 2005, the Trustees Awards have been presented to more than one recipient. Pierre Cossette is the only recipient of the Latin Grammy Trustees Award to also receive the Grammy Trustees Award in 1995. The accolade, along with the Person of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement awards, were not presented in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
