Tourism in Bulgaria is a significant contributor to the country's economy. Situated at the crossroads of the East and West, Bulgaria has been home to many civilizations: Thracians, Greeks, Romans, Eastern Romans or Byzantines, Slavs, Bulgars, and Ottomans. The country is rich in tourist sights and historical artifacts, scattered through a relatively small and easily accessible territory. Bulgaria is internationally known for its seaside and winter resorts.
Varna is the third-largest city in Bulgaria and the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and in the Northern Bulgaria region. Byala is a small town and seaside resort in Eastern Bulgaria, located on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast in Varna Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Byala Municipality and lies in a semi-mountainous region in the easternmost branches of Stara Planina about 50 km south of the city of Varna and 70 km north of Burgas. As of June 2022, the town had a population of 2,205.
The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, also known as the Bulgarian Riviera, covers the entire eastern bound of Bulgaria stretching from the Romanian Black Sea resorts in the north to European Turkey in the south, along 378 km of coastline. White and golden sandy beaches occupy approximately 130 km of the 378 km long coast. The region is an important center of tourism during the summer season (May–October), drawing millions of foreign and local tourists alike and constituting one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. Prior to 1989 the Bulgarian Black Sea coast was internationally known as the Red Riviera. Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, however, its nickname has been changed to the Bulgarian Riviera.
Golden Sands is a major seaside resort town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, adjacent to a national park of the same name in the municipality of Varna.
Cherno More is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in the city of Varna, which currently competes in Bulgaria's primary football competition, the First League. Founded on 3 March 1913, as an association football branch of the larger sports society SC Galata, the club has spent the majority of its existence playing in the top tier of Bulgarian football.
Albena is a major Black Sea resort in northeastern Bulgaria, Balchik Municipality, situated 12 km (7 mi) from Balchik and 30 km (19 mi) from Varna. Albena is served by Varna Airport. Since 2005 is considered as a settlement by the National Statistical Institute.

As of December 2009, the town had a population of 3,260.

The Galata gas field is a natural gas field located on the continental shelf of the Black Sea approximately 25km Southeast of Varna, Bulgaria. The field was the first to be developed offshore Bulgaria, and at peak production provided more than 16% of Bulgaria's domestic gas needs, the platform and associated infrastructure is still the only production facility located in the Bulgarian Black Sea.
Asparuhovo is a district of Varna. It is located in the southern part of the town and has a population of 27 000. In the district are located the Institute of Oceanology and the Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Center, both part of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Asparuhovo is located south of Varna just over the bridge and is 20 mins from Varna Airport and the main centre of varna Asparuhovo is a district situated in the outskirts of Varna. The local beach is vast and tranquil together with the marina with fish restaurants and beach bars. It is not attended by many tourists and suits well people who want to enjoy the sea and the beach but are on a tight budget. There are water attractions on the beach like water wheels, windsurf, etc. Nearby, there are also restaurants that offer food and drink.
FC Spartak Varna is a Bulgarian association football phoenix club based in Varna, which currently competes in the Second League, the second level of Bulgarian football league system. Spartak plays its home matches at the local Stadion Spartak.

The Girls Tour was the third concert tour by British singer Rita Ora, which served as a prelude to her, then upcoming, second studio album, Phoenix (2018). The promotional concert tour began on 11 May 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.
MFC Spartak Varna is a Bulgarian beach soccer team based in Varna. The club was founded in 2008. Spartak have won a 7 Bulgarian Championship titles.
