MV Gran Cacique IV is a high speed passenger ferry that is operated in Venezuela by Gran Cacique II. She originally operated for the Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority as Flying Cloud.
The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority, referred to colloquially as The Steamship Authority or simply the SSA, is the statutory regulatory body for all ferry operations to and from the islands from the Massachusetts mainland, as well as being an operator of ferry service from the mainland Cape Cod to the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, and the only ferry operator to carry automobiles to the islands. The Authority also operates several freight vessels, thus serving as the main link for shipping any commercial goods to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket that are not transported by air.
She was built by Derecktor Shipyards at a cost of $8 million [1] and entered service in 2000. [2] Almost immediately after delivery, she began to experience engine failures, which plagued her for most of her Steamship Authority service. [1] She received new engines before her final year in operation for the Authority in 2006, by which point she had missed over 800 scheduled trips. [1] She was replaced by MV Iyanough in 2007. [1] In June 2008, Gran Cacique II purchased Flying Cloud for $3.9 million, [3] after which she was renamed to Gran Cacique IV in 2011. [4]
Derecktor Shipyards is an American ship building company located in Mamaroneck, New York and founded in 1947 by Robert E. Derecktor. The company is known for building Cakewalk V, one of the largest yachts ever built in the United States. Derecktor currently operates two facilities, one in Mamaroneck, New York, which is focused upon the construction and repair of custom yachts and small commercial vessels, and the other in Dania Beach, Florida, which is dedicated to the maintenance, repair and refitting of mega-yachts up to 200’ in length. According to sources, Bob “Old Man” Derecktor is remembered by some for his tough rhetoric and direct leadership, the most notable example of which occurred at a Company Christmas party circa 1970 in which he separated all Production employees to one side of the room and all non-production employees to the other. After separating the groups he remarked “all you non-Production people need to understand one thing: you are here to support the people on the other side of the room, and if you can’t understand that, than there is the door.”

MV Kenilworth is a historic passenger ferry built in 1936 as MV Hotspur II. She was used on the Hythe Ferry service across Southampton Water until 1978, and then on the Kilcreggan ferry on the Firth of Clyde until 2007.
The MV Island Home is a ferry built by VT Halter Marine in 2005 for The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority. She replaced the MV Islander on the Authority's route between Woods Hole and Vineyard Haven.
Golden Gate Ferry is a commuter ferry service operated by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District in the Bay Area of Northern California. Regular service is run to the Ferry Building in San Francisco from Larkspur, Sausalito, and Tiburon in Marin County, with additional service from Larkspur to Oracle Park for San Francisco Giants games. The ferry service is funded primarily by passenger fares and Golden Gate Bridge tolls.
Sankaty was a propeller-driven steamer that served as a ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket in Massachusetts; in Rockland, Maine; Stamford, Connecticut and Oyster Bay, Long Island in the United States from 1911 to 1940. During World War II, the ship was requisitioned by the Royal Canadian Navy for service as a minelayer and maintenance vessel along the Canadian Atlantic coast. Following the war the ship returned to a ferry, working the Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and Caribou, Nova Scotia route in Canada from 1947 until 1964. While being towed to the breaker's yard, the ship sank off the coast of Nova Scotia on October 27, 1964.

The company currently operates the second largest passenger ferry service between mainland Cape Cod and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The company also operates sightseeing cruises and fishing charters. The company's main office is located at 22 Channel Point Road in Hyannis.
Asbury Park was a high-speed coastal steamer built in Philadelphia, and intended to transport well-to-do persons from New York to summer homes on the New Jersey shore. This vessel was sold to West Coast interests in 1918, and later converted to an automobile ferry, serving on various routes San Francisco Bay, Puget Sound and British Columbia. This vessel was known by a number of other names, including City of Sacramento, Kahloke, Langdale Queen, and Lady Grace.
The MV Governor is a passenger ferry that operates in Massachusetts. She was formerly the MV Crown City between 1954 and 1970, and the MV Kulshan between 1970 and 1982.
RML 497 is a former Royal Navy Fairmile B motor launch from World War II. She was named Western Lady III on her entry to civilian service, as a passenger motor vessel for Western Lady Ferry Service. From 2009 to 2015, she operated as The Fairmile for Greenway Ferry on their day cruise route from Torquay and Brixham to Dartmouth and Greenway. In May 2013, she was returned to her original wartime appearance. Torbay's "ferry wars" forced her removal from service, and in December 2015, RML 497 was acquired by the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
