MV Tulpar is a Kazakh ice-breaking and supply ship that was built in 2002 by Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein Verft. It is based at Aktau and was originally registered to the Cayman Islands but soon moved to Kazakhstan.
Ulstein is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The commercial and administrative centre of Ulstein is the town of Ulsteinvik. The municipality occupies the western half of the island of Hareidlandet, as well as about 30 smaller islands, four of which are populated.

AHTSBourbon Dolphin was an anchor handling tug supply vessel of Bourbon Offshore Norway. The ship capsized off the coast of Shetland on April 12, 2007, and sank three days later while preparations were being made to tow her to shore.
The Eiksund tunnel is an undersea tunnel in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway, which runs under the Vartdalsfjorden connecting the municipalities of Ørsta and Ulstein. The tunnel is 7,765 metres (25,476 ft) long and reaches a depth of 287 metres (942 ft) below sea level, and was the deepest undersea tunnel in the world until Norway's Rogaland county opened its 292 m (958 ft) deep Ryfast tunnel system in December 2019.

In ship design, an inverted bow is a ship's or large boat's bow whose farthest forward point is not at the top. The result may somewhat resemble a submarine's bow. Inverted bows maximize the length of waterline and hence the hull speed, and have often better hydrodynamic drag than ordinary bows. On the other hand, they have very little reserve buoyancy and tend to dive under waves instead of piercing or going over them.
Skylark B was a radio communications group that operated in Trondheim during the German occupation of Norway. The group was established and led by Erik Welle-Strand, who was a student in Trondheim. Preparations were done in 1940, when a transmitter was brought in from the United Kingdom, and the communications were effective from the end of January to September 1941. Their station, called Sealion, was one of two radio stations that maintained the radio communication between Norway and the UK Secret Intelligence Service in this period. The transmitter was located in Herbernheia in the recreational area Bymarka. A large number of telegrams were sent while the group was operational. The group was eventually rolled up by the Gestapo in September 1941. Several of the operators were imprisoned. Eleven members of the Skylark B group were sent to German death camps, and seven of these later died in Germany. Others managed to flee from the country, among these were Leif Tronstad, Einar Johansen, Bjørn Rørholt and Olav Skeie.

Høddvoll Stadion is a multi-sports stadium in Ulsteinvik in Ulstein, Norway. It was the home ground of 2. divisjon side IL Hødd until 2014. It is primary used for football and athletics with its all-weather running track. The stadium is a part of the sports complex consists of the Nye Høddvoll, surrounded by an all-weather running track, a natural grass training pitch and an artificial turf pitch, as well as an indoor hall. Høddvoll has a capacity for 4,433 spectators, of which 2,600 seated.
MS Polarlys is a Hurtigruten vessel built by Ulstein Verft in Ulstein, Norway in 1996. It is named after the Aurora polaris and is the third Hurtigruten vessel to bear the name after this phenomenon.

Ulstein Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the municipality of Ulstein, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. It is located in the town of Ulsteinvik on the western side of the island of Hareidlandet. It is the church for the Ulstein parish which is part of the Søre Sunnmøre prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was designed in an octagonal design in 1849 using plans drawn up by Hans Nicolai Wraamann, the local parish priest. The church seats about 400 people. Originally, the church was built about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of Ulsteinvik, but in 1878 it was taken down and moved into Ulsteinvik.
Sunnmøre District Court was a district court in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The court was based in the town of Ålesund. The court existed until 2021. It had jurisdiction over approximately the southern third of the county, except the far southern part, and it includes the municipalities of Ålesund, Giske, Haram, Hareid, Norddal, Skodje, Stordal, Stranda, Sula, Sykkylven, Ulstein and Ørskog. Cases from this court could be appealed to Frostating Court of Appeal. The court was led by the chief judge Kirsti Høegh Bjørneset. This court employed a chief judge, seven other judges, and several prosecutors.
