Telugu is a Dravidian language spoken by Telugu people predominantly living in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it is also the official language. It stands alongside Hindi and Bengali as one of the few languages with primary official language status in more than one Indian state. Telugu is also a linguistic minority in the states of Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is one of six languages designated a classical language of India by the country's government.

Devi Sri Prasad is an Indian music composer, lyricist, singer, and performer. He is best known for his works in Telugu films. He also worked in some Tamil and Hindi films. DSP is a recipient of nine Filmfare Awards, eight of which are Filmfare Award for Best Music Director - Telugu and one Filmfare South Best Background Music, five CineMAA Awards - Best Music Director, five SIIMA Award for Best Music Director (Telugu) and one Nandi Award for Best Music Director. Devi also choreographed a song in the 2015 film Kumari 21F. As of 2020, he has composed music for more than 100 films in various Indian languages.
Yalamanchili Venkata Satyanarayana Chowdary is an Indian Telugu cinema writer, director, producer, distributor, exhibitor and a music company owner. He made his debut as a director in 1998 with the film Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna under the banner "Great India Entertainments". He then directed Seetharama Raju starring Nagarjuna and Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Yuvaraju starring Mahesh Babu. He then established his own production house "Bommarillu Vari" and started producing his own directorial efforts with Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo. Later, he directed Seetayya, Devadasu, Okka Magaadu, Saleem, Rey. Among these, Saleem is the only film which is not from his production house. He has directed nine films till date. In 2012, he produced Nippu starring Ravi Teja under the direction of Gunasekhar.
Sweety Shetty, known by her stage name Anushka Shetty, is an Indian film actress and model who predominantly works in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. She has received several accolades, including three CineMAA Awards, a Nandi Award, TN State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards from eight nominations. Anushka, who has appeared in over 50 films, is one of the highest-paid actresses in India and is popularly referred as Lady Superstar of South Indian cinema.
Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose is an Indian lyricist and playback singer who works in Telugu films. Chandrabose wrote lyrics for about 3300 songs in over 800 films. He has won a number of awards as best lyricist.
Okka Magaadu is a 2008 Telugu-language patriotic action film written, produced and directed by YVS Chowdary on his Bommarillu banner. Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Simran, Anushka Shetty and Nisha Kothari and music composed by Mani Sharma.
C. Shakeela, known mononymously as Shakeela, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam language films. Shakeela debuted in the film Playgirls (1995) at the age of 18 as a supporting actress. She appeared in about 250 films, most of them softcore, which made her a major sex symbol in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Naramalli Sivaprasad was an Indian film actor turned politician, belonging to Telugu Desam Party. In the 2009 election he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Chittoor constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He dressed himself up in many roles in protesting against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state. He was also one of the MPs who were suspended for protesting in Indian Parliament against the bifurcation of the state. He also protested by dressing himself up as B. R. Ambedkar demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Magaadu is a 1976 Indian Telugu-language action film produced by Lakshmi Rajyam, Sridhar Rao and Srikanth Nahata under the Rajyam Productions banner and directed by S. D. Lal. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Ramakrishna, Manjula and Latha, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film is a remake of Hindi film Deewaar (1975).
Devadas Kanakala was an Indian actor from Andhra Pradesh who predominantly appeared in Telugu language films and TV shows. Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi and Rajendra Prasad trained under him. He was a very good trainer for acting skills
V.P. Krishnan was a Malayalam film editor. He worked in over five hundred films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. This makes him one of the few editors to have worked for five of the biggest film industries in India.
Chittajalu Lakshmipati was an Indian actor and writer from Andhra Pradesh who predominantly appeared in Telugu films, acting in over 70 of them. He was the elder brother of Sobhan, who directed the film Varsham. He died a few days after his brother's death.
