The Maidenhall Estate is a council estate in Ipswich, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. In 1975 the remains of a mammoth were excavated at Stoke High School, some of the bones of which are on display at Ipswich Museum.
Maidenhall has the Hillside Primary School, Stoke High School, Stoke Green Baptist Church and a sports centre.

The area has grown rapidly due to private housing development. The old airport building has been transformed into small flats, and part of the terminal has been redeveloped for commercial purposes.

Woolverstone Hall is a large country house, now in use as a school and available at times as a function venue, located 5 miles (8.0 km) south of the centre of Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It is set in 80 acres (320,000 m2) on the banks of the River Orwell. Built in 1776 for William Berners by the architect John Johnson of Leicestershire, it is an outstanding example of English Palladian architecture and is a Grade I listed building while associated buildings are Grade II. From 1951 to 1990, it housed Woolverstone Hall School, a boarding school operated by London County Council (LCC).

The Ipswich Waterfront, often referred to as just "the waterfront", is a cultural and historically significant area surrounding the marina in the town of Ipswich, Suffolk. The modern dock was constructed in 1842 and the area was a hive of industry up until the 1970s, at the time of completion, the dock was known as 'the biggest and most important enclosed dock in the kingdom'. Although the dock as it stands was constructed in 1842, the area was used for trade as far back as the 7th century. The decline of industry in the town resulted in the area being transformed into a trendy area of Ipswich, the waterfront is now characterised by its marina, known as Neptune Marina, as well as its mix of classical and postmodern architecture which includes multiple high-rise apartment buildings, restaurants, bars and cafés. The waterfront is also home to the main campus of the regions university, the University of Suffolk.
Stoke is a suburb of Ipswich, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. Stoke was placed in the hundred of Ipswich in 1086 in the Domesday Book as one of 470 places under the control of the Abbey of Ely St Etheldreda.
Stoke Park was a country estate located to the South West of Ipswich. It is now a residential area and gave its name to Stoke Park ward located in the South West Area of Ipswich, in the English county of Suffolk.
Ipswich Stoke Hill railway station was the northern terminus of the Eastern Union Railway line from Colchester to Ipswich from its opening in June 1846 until 1860 when the present Ipswich station opened at the other end of the Stoke tunnel. It was located in Croft Street, Stoke. Trains from London terminated at the station but from November 1846 when a new line was built by the Ipswich and Bury Railway to Bury St Edmunds trains from Bury used to pass the station, stop at Halifax Junction a short distance to the south and propel back into the terminus usually using the western platform. Trains for Bury would reverse out as far as Halifax Junction before travelling north.
Westbourne is a suburb of Ipswich, on the northwestern fringe of the town, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It borders the suburbs of Whitton and Castle Hill to the east and the villages of Bramford and Sproughton to the west. Whitehouse is a large estate occupying the northern part of the suburb. It is named after the West Bourne, a former stream and tributary of the River Gipping that ran east through the north of the suburb then south alongside Westbourne Road. It was diverted in the early twentieth century to supply the town with water. The former stream bed can still be seen on the eastern perimeter of the Bramford Lane Allotments and its waters can be heard flowing beneath the manhole covers on the site.
Stoke Hall was a Georgian stately home in Ipswich, in the county of Suffolk, England. It was built in 1744 and the main house was demolished in 1915. The stables and the underground cellars still survive. The cellars were a major air raid shelter in the Second World War.

Landseer Park is a large open green space north of Landseer Road, in the eastern suburbs of Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It is home to the Ipswich BMX Club. National Cycle Route 51 passes through the park. It is designated a County Wildlife Site.
