Maino was an Italian professional cycling team that existed only in 1965. [1] [2] The team was led by Alfredo Sivocci, who was a professional cyclist in the 1920s.
Riders of the team won four stages of the 1965 Giro d'Italia, including one by Domenico Meldolesi and Danilo Grassi and two by, Raffaele Marcoli. It was sponsored by Italian bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer Maino .
Costante Girardengo was an Italian professional road bicycle racer, considered by many to be one of the finest riders in the history of the sport. He was the first rider to be declared a "Campionissimo" or "champion of champions" by the Italian media and fans. At the height of his popularity in the 1920s he was said to be more popular than Mussolini and it was decreed that all express trains should stop in his home town Novi Ligure, an honour only normally awarded to heads of state.

The race began on 16 May in Milan with a stage that stretched 161 km (100 mi) to Turin, finishing back in Milan on 7 June after a 248 km (154 mi) stage and a total distance covered of 3,766 km (2,340 mi). The race was won by the Italian rider Gino Bartali of the Legnano team, with fellow Italians Giuseppe Olmo and Severino Canavesi coming in second and third respectively.

The race began on 6 May in Milan with a stage that stretched 169 km (105 mi) to Turin, finishing back in Milan on 28 May after a 284 km (176 mi) stage and a total distance covered of 3,343 km (2,077 mi). The race was won by the Alfredo Binda of the Legnano team. Second and third respectively were the Belgian Jef Demuysere and Italian Domenico Piemontesi.

Gianni Faresin is an Italian former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally from 1988 to 2004. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Casillo–Petroli Firenze–Hopplà, for whom his son Edoardo rides.

The 2020 Giro d'Italia was to have taken place from 9 to 31 May 2020, as the 103rd edition of the Giro d'Italia, a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race. The start of the 2020 Giro had been planned to take place in Budapest, Hungary, which would have been the 14th time the Giro has started outside Italy, and the first time a Grand Tour has visited Hungary.
The 2020 Milan–San Remo was scheduled to be held on 21 March 2020, but was postponed to 8 August due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy. The postponement was made by RCS Sport on 6 March. It will be the 111th edition of the Milan–San Remo one-day cycling classic in Northern Italy, and part of the 2020 UCI World Tour calendar. French rider Julian Alaphilippe is the defending champion.
