Major League was an American rock band from Mantua Township, New Jersey. [2] They were signed to No Sleep Records.

History

Major League began in 2009. In July 2012, the group performed a few shows in Canada in July with The Swellers. [3] They signed to No Sleep Records in September. [4] They supported Man Overboard on their four date east coast tour in 2012. [5] They partook in a co-headlining tour with Turnover and Maker in late 2012. [6] In Spring of 2013, Major League supported Senses Fail on their headlining spring tour. [7] In early 2014, Major League embarked on a headlining tour with support from Have Mercy, Seaway, and Better Off. [8] In January 2014, vocalist Nick Trask departed from the band. [9] In a statement released by Trask, he said:

Major League has, and always will be an incredible experience filled with life changing memories. I wouldn't change anything. It was a privilege to be able to spend the past few years with some amazing, talented, good hearted guys traveling the world playing music, and meeting so many awesome people. With saying that, I feel it is my time to leave Major League and move on to other things in my life. Besides writing a few lines of lyrics here and there, Major League is truly made up of Brian, Matt, Luke, and Kyle. They are the heart and soul behind what you hear, read, and relate. The music they have been writing for the next full length sounds amazing and I, as a fan cannot wait to hear how it all comes out. I wish nothing but the best for these guys in everything they will accomplish. Thanks for everything. I love you guys.

In the fall of 2014, Major League supported Mayday Parade on their headlining tour. [10]

On February 10, 2016, Major League announced they are breaking up, as well as announcing a final fifteen date tour with Forever Came Calling and Sudden Suspension. [1]

Brian Anthony Joyce has since gone on to create an alt-rock solo project, Val Astaire. [11]
