Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) is an indoor soccer league that began play in 2022 and based in the United States.
On August 18, 2022, Chicago (Mustangs), Cleveland (Crunch) and Grand Rapids (Rapid City FC) were officially announced as charter teams. [1]
On March 29, 2024, the league announced a merger with the National Indoor Soccer League, keeping the Major League Indoor Soccer name. [2]

Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport's highest level in the United States. The league comprises 29 teams—26 in the United States and 3 in Canada—since the 2023 season. MLS is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan.
United Soccer League (USL) is an organizer of soccer leagues in the United States. It operates several men's and women's leagues, both professional. Men's leagues currently organized are the USL Championship, USL League One, USL League Two, and the youth Super Y League. A women's league, the USL W League, began play in 2022. It is directly affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation and the United States Adult Soccer Association. The USL is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
Indoor soccer or arena soccer is a five-a-side or six-a-side version of minifootball, derived from association football and adapted to be played in walled hardcourt indoor arena. The season began on November 15 and concluded on March 2. Each team played a 20-game schedule. This was the final season for this third incarnation of the MISL. Six of the seven teams joined the Professional Arena Soccer League, later renamed Major Arena Soccer League.

As of 2024, the league has 12 teams who play 22 regular season games, followed by playoffs. All teams also participate in the USL Cup, adding an additional eight games, followed by knockout rounds.
