The Mălaia is a right tributary of the river Lotru in Romania. It flows into the Lotru near the village Malaia. Its length is 9 km (5.6 mi) and its basin size is 27 km2 (10 sq mi).

The Lotru is a right tributary of the river Olt in Romania. Its source is in the Parâng Mountains. It feeds the reservoirs Vidra, Malaia and Brădișor. It flows into the Olt in Golotreni, near the town Brezoi. It passes through the communes Voineasa, Malaia, and Brezoi. Its length is 83 km (52 mi) and its basin size is 990 km2 (380 sq mi).
