Kanyakumari, is a city of the Kanyakumari district in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu. It is the southernmost city of peninsular/contiguous India. Kanyakumari has been a city since the Sangam period. and is a popular tourist destination.
The term Memon refers to a Muslim community from the western part of South Asia, and includes Sindhi Memons, Kutchi Memons, and Kathiawari Memons. Sindhi Memons belong to the Sindhi or Sindhi Baloch ethnic groups, and are associated with the Sindhi language. Kutchi and Kathiawari Memons are ethnically Memoni and associated with the Memoni language. Kutchi and Kathiawari Memons migrated to Pakistan after the Partition of India in 1947. The name Memon is the local pronunciation of the Arabic name Momin, meaning believer. In Persian, the local pronunciation is Momen. The name was given to those who converted to Islam after the Arab Invasion of Sindh and surrounding areas in the 8th century.

Mohammad Ajmal Khan, better known as Hakim Ajmal Khan, was a physician in Delhi, India, and one of the founders of the Jamia Millia Islamia University. Puthen Pana is a Malayalam poem written by German Jesuit missionary priest Johann Ernst Hanxleden famously known as Arnos Pathiri in Kerala.
