However, Diosdado Macapagal of the opposition Liberal Party won the presidential election, leading to majority of the elected Nacionalista congressmen to defect to the Liberal Party. This led to Cornelio Villareal being elected Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Legally Blind is a 2017 Philippine television drama series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Ricky Davao, it stars Janine Gutierrez. It premiered on February 20, 2017 on the network's Afternoon Prime line up replacing Hahamakin ang Lahat. The series concluded on June 30, 2017 with a total of 93 episodes. It was replaced by Impostora in its timeslot.
El Sereno is a statue installed at Glorieta de los Insurgentes, a roundabout in Avenida de los Insurgentes, in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City. The statue was designed by Víctor Manuel Villareal and was placed in 1992. The statue features a watchman, formerly a law enforcement position. When it was unveiled, El Sereno had a lamp and a plaque that were removed at some point.

The Snitch Cartel: Origins is a Colombian crime drama streaming television series developed for Caracol Televisión by Asier Aguilar. It is based on the book El Cartel de los Sapos by Andrés López López, and focuses specifically on the lives of the Villegas brothers, better known as Los Caballeros de Cali. The series is set in two eras, starring first Juan Pablo Urrego, and Sebastián Osorio playing the Villegas brothers in their youth, and later being replaced by Gustavo Angarita Jr., and Carlos Manuel Vega in his adulthood.
