J. Mark Butler (born July 21,1970) is the current Georgia Labor Commissioner. He is the first Republican to hold the office with his election in 2010,in which Republicans won every statewide office in Georgia. [1] Prior to serving as Commissioner of Labor,Butler served in the Georgia House of Representatives. He was re-elected Labor Commissioner in 2014 and 2018. His current term expires in January 2023. All of Georgia's executive officers were up for election as well as a United States Senate seat,all of Georgia's fourteen seats in the United States House of Representatives and all seats in both houses of the Georgia General Assembly. Primary elections were held on May 20,2014. Primary runoffs,necessary if no candidate wins a majority of the vote,were held on July 22,2014.
A special election to the United States House of Representatives for Ohio's 8th congressional district was held to determine the successor to John Boehner,who resigned his seat on October 31,2015. Republican Governor of Ohio John Kasich set the primary election for March 15,2016,and the general election for June 7. The winner of the June special election ran for reelection in November 2016 but served the remainder of Boehner's 13th two-year term,which ended in early January 2017.

Incumbent Democratic senator Raphael Warnock won his first full term in office,defeating Republican former football player Herschel Walker. Under Georgia's two-round system,Warnock was re-elected in a runoff election on December 6 after neither candidate received over 50% of the vote on November 8.

The runoff was scheduled because none of the candidates for Senate received 50% of the statewide vote in the general election. In addition to the Senate seat,all of Georgia's seats in the United States House of Representatives were up for election. Also up for election were all of Georgia's executive officers and legislative seats,as well as one seat on the Georgia Public Service Commission. The Republican Party decisively won every single statewide office in Georgia except for the Federal Senate race which went Democratic in 2022.
The 2022 Oklahoma Senate general election were held on November 8,2022. The primary elections for the Republican,Democratic,and Libertarian parties' nominations took place on June 28,2022. Runoff primary elections,if no candidate received 50% in the June 28 vote,took place on August 23. All candidates had to file between the days of April 13–15,2022. Oklahoma voters elected state senators in 24 of the state's 48 Senate districts. State senators served four-year terms in the Oklahoma Senate.
