Mark Paterson is an animator, character designer, writer, and director from New Zealand. After working on multiple animated shows, he created the main character design for the pilot of the Peabody Award-winning Australian animated television series Bluey (TV series). [1]
Paterson attended Yoobee College of Design in Auckland. [2]
Paterson met Joe Brumm while they were both working on Charlie and Lola in the UK and discussed the plot for Bluey. [2] [3] Paterson eventually created the main character design for the pilot and continued to work as an animator when Bluey was ordered working remotely with the team in Australia from Auckland, New Zealand. [2] [4]
He was the director of 10 episodes of WTF 101, an animated series on Dropout. [5] Other shows he has worked on include Little Princess (British TV series), Friends and Heroes, and the Cramp Twins. [5] He is also the animation director at Studio JoHo which he runs with Brumm. [6] [7]
