The first series of the children's British cooking programme Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch aired from 12 April to 21 July 2015, The series was created by CBBC the series follows the Ramsay family on their summer holidays in L.A where Matilda (Tilly) Ramsay cooks her favourite meals and foods while the rest of the family go out trying new things such as surfing, making their own drive in and Tilly also challenges her family to do challenges in each show.

Production

Development

It was announced in January 2015 that CBBC had created a new children's cooking show. The show stars the Ramsay family on their summer holidays in L.A. The first series was made up of 15x15 minute episodes which started airing in April 2015 and ran for 15 weeks finishing on 21 July 2015.

Filming

Filming for the first series of Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch took place in America in L.A where the Ramsay family own a house, most of the filming took place on location and in the kitchen. Filming took place a year before broadcast in summer 2014 and began airing in 2015, the series is filmed during the U.K summer holidays.

Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch is a British CBBC cooking entertainment programme which follows Gordon Ramsay and family on their summer holidays. In December 2014 CBBC announced that they had commissioned a new cooking show aimed at children with the first episode airing on 14 April 2015. The second series of the children's British cooking programme Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch aired from 6 May to 12 August 2016, it was announced that the series was renewed by CBBC for a second series. The Second series follows the Ramsay family on their summer holidays in L.A, Cornwall and London where Matilda Ramsay (Tilly) cooks her favourite meals and foods whiles the rest of the family go out and about Tilly also challenges her family to do challenges in each show.

The third series of the children's British cooking programme Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch which began airing from 5 May 2017 on CBBC, the series consists of 15 episodes. The series concluded on 11 August 2017. It was announced in July 2016 that CBBC had renewed the series for a third series witch will air in 2017. The third series will follow the same format as the past two series where we will see the Ramsay family on their summer holidays in L.A, all of the Ramsay family will return for the third series.

Matilda Elizabeth Ramsay is an English television presenter, chef and social media influencer best known for presenting the BBC cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch on CBBC alongside her family. Ramsay has made numerous television appearances including This Morning, Gordon Ramsay's Home Cooking, Blue Peter, MasterChef Junior, Friday Night Jazz, and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Her parents are Tana Ramsay, a cook book author, and Gordon Ramsay, a celebrity chef. She resides in both the United Kingdom and the United States with her family and was a contestant on the nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. Ramsay was also a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef Australia, where she reached the final. Ramsay has often used the nickname "Tilly" in professional contexts.

The fourth series of the children's British cooking programme Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch which began airing from 24 April 2018 on CBBC and finished on 31 July 2018. It was announced in June 2017 that CBBC had renewed the show for a fourth series which will air in 2018. The fourth series will follow the same format as the past three series where we will see the Ramsay family on their summer holidays, all of the Ramsay family will return. The series returned to airing later in the day unlike the third series which aired in the mornings.

Children's BBC Presentation was the BBC's presentation of its programmes for children and which was the only part of BBC One and BBC Two's television presentation where the continuity announcer appeared on the TV screen rather than as a voice over.
