Matt's Million was a children's programme broadcast in 1996 on CITV. [1] It was written by author Andrew Norriss who had created many children's shows such as Bernard's Watch and Woof! . It starred Peter England as Matt and Claire Parfitt as Claire. Only four episodes were produced. Windsor Davies also appeared, as did Alan Halsall, who later become famous for his role as Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street .
The story was about a boy called Matt Collins, who became a millionaire at the age of 11. After developing a successful computer game, which sold heavily in the Far East, Matt receives a cheque for just over £1.25 million from his family solicitors. Upon the initial reaction of shock, Matt carefully purchases some select goods, namely two bikes and a rented Rolls-Royce, driven by his own personal chauffeur, Henry. As the series progresses, he later discovers money makes life harder than you think.

The Brittas Empire is a British sitcom created and originally written by Andrew Norriss and Richard Fegen. Chris Barrie played titular character Gordon Brittas, the well-intentioned but hugely incompetent manager of the fictional Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. The show ran for seven series and 52 episodes – including two Christmas specials – from 1991 to 1997 on BBC1. Creators Norriss and Fegen co-wrote the first five series. The series peaked at 10 million viewers.
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is a 1992 American psychological thriller film directed by Curtis Hanson, and starring Annabella Sciorra, Rebecca De Mornay, Matt McCoy, Ernie Hudson, and Julianne Moore. Its plot follows the pregnant wife of a Seattle obstetrician who kills himself after he is accused of sexual misconduct by his patients. The shock leads the wife to miscarry, after which she poses as a nanny for one of her husband's accusers, and slowly begins to infiltrate the family. The title is taken from an 1865 poem by William Ross Wallace and there are several nods to the comic opera The Pirates of Penzance.
