Matthew Jacobs (born 23 February 1985) is a former rugby union player who began his career as a wing, before later playing as a centre.

Born in Oxford, England, Jacobs was educated at Tregib Comprehensive School in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, and began his rugby career with Llandeilo RFC, as well as having a stint with Llangennech RFC. In 2004, he made an appearance for Llandovery RFC, and in 2005, he joined Llanelli RFC, where he became part of the Scarlets regional setup. He made his debut for the Scarlets in November 2008, starting on the left wing in an Anglo-Welsh Cup game against Northampton Saints. He made his Celtic League debut a few weeks later, this time playing on the right wing against Munster. In January 2009, he played for the Scarlets in a match against the Barbarians to mark the official opening of their new stadium, Parc y Scarlets; he opened the scoring with a try in the third minute as the Scarlets went on to win 40–24. [1] His next appearance for the Scarlets, against Leinster three weeks later, also turned out to be his last. In April 2009, he returned to playing for Llandovery, where he played for the next seven seasons, albeit making a single appearance for Carmarthen Quins in a British and Irish Cup game against Leinster A in November 2014. In February 2013, he was named as the Principality Premiership Player of the Month for January. [2] In 2016, he moved to Aberavon RFC, where he played six games during the 2016–17 season.

Jacobs is also a personal trainer.

With the arrival of regional rugby in Wales in 2003, he joined the Celtic Warriors, but their closure a year later led to him signing for the Llanelli Scarlets. He played more than 180 matches for the Scarlets, captaining them on several occasions, leading to his first Wales call-up in 2005.

Deiniol Jones is a Welsh former professional rugby union player who played as a lock. Born in Carmarthen, he played for the Carmarthen Quins youth team before moving to study chemistry at the University of Bath in 1997. There, he was picked up by English Premiership side Bath RFC, where he played for three years before a loan move back to Wales with Ebbw Vale. In 2001, he made a permanent move to Bridgend, and two years later he was signed by the newly formed, Bridgend-based regional side Celtic Warriors. The Warriors only lasted one year before folding, after which Jones moved to Cardiff Blues.

Llandovery RFC is a Welsh rugby union club based in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The club is an inaugural member of the Welsh Rugby Union, currently play in the Welsh Premier Division and is a feeder club for the Scarlets, a Pro14 club.

Adam Mathias Jones is a Welsh former professional rugby union player who played as a lock. He captained the Wales Under-19 team and earned his first caps for the Wales senior team as a replacement against England and Scotland in the 2006 Six Nations Championship. He began his career with Swansea RFC before a spell in England with Saracens and Harlequins, before returning to Wales with Cardiff RFC. At the start of the Welsh regional era, he signed for the Llanelli Scarlets and played for them for four seasons, before a seven-year spell with the Newport Gwent Dragons. He also made appearances for Llandovery RFC, Carmarthen Quins RFC, Cross Keys RFC and Newport RFC.

Kenneth James Owens is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a hooker for the Scarlets and Wales. He made his debut for the Scarlets in 2006, taking over from Matthew Rees as their first-choice hooker upon Rees' departure for the Cardiff Blues in 2013. He also served as backup to Rees, among others, for Wales following his debut against Namibia at the 2011 Rugby World Cup. In 2016, he took over as Wales' first-choice hooker, and in January 2023, following almost a year out with a back injury, he was named as captain for the 2023 Six Nations Championship.

A former Welsh international player, Jones has played and coached at various levels, from playing at the amateur level to the professional level in Wales and England. He since gone on to become a professional coach at club and international level.

Joshua "Josh" Turnbull is a Welsh international rugby union player, who currently plays in the Back row and Second row for Cardiff Rugby in the Pro14 league having previously played for the Scarlets, Llanelli RFC and Llandovery RFC. Born in Haverfordwest, Turnbull is a fluent Welsh speaker.
