Maurice Voirin (28 January 1891 - 19 December 1980) was a French politician.
Voirin was born in Noyers-Pont-Maugis. He represented the French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO) in the Chamber of Deputies from 1932 to 1940. On 10 July 1940 he voted in favour of granting the Cabinet presided by Marshal Philippe Pétain the authority to draw up a new constitution, thereby effectively ending the French Third Republic.

Set up in London in June 1940, it organised and supported the Resistance in Occupied France, and established a foothold within several French colonies in Africa.

France and the Low Countries were conquered, ending land operations on the Western Front until the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944.

Eugène Nicolas Sartory was an influential French archetier/ bow maker from Mirecourt, France. After having first apprenticed with his father, he went on to work in Paris for Charles Peccatte and Joseph Alfred Lamy (père) before setting up his own shop in 1889.

Charles Peccatte was a French Archetier. He was born in Mirecourt, the son of François Peccatte and the nephew of Dominique Peccatte. He was trained by August Lenoble with whom he later had a partnership which lasted until 1881. The early work includes very individual bows which can be described as of the Peccatte school but many of which have heads modelled somewhat after the early type of bow by François Tourte.

Evacuated from Paris to the resort town of Vichy in the unoccupied "Free Zone" in the southern part of Metropolitan France, it remained responsible for the civil administration of France as well as its colonies.

Auguste Barbé (1853-1902) was a French Archetier (bowmaker). Mathias Théophile Auguste Barbé son of Dominique Barbé and first cousin of Télesphore Barbé, completed his apprenticeship in Mirecourt, presumably under C.N. BAZIN as did many of his contemporaries. Around 1880 Barbé began to work for GAND & BERNARDEL frères before joining their Parisian workshop in 1886, the year during which the firm became GAND & BERNARDEL. Auguste BARBÉ spent 10 years with this important and influential firm, developing a style which came close to that of François Nicolas Voirin. In around 1896/1897 Barbé returned to Mirecourt where he opened his own workshop at 1 rue Chanot.
Hippolyte Auguste Marinoni was a builder of rotary printing presses; most of which used the rotogravure process. He was also a media patron and owned several periodicals; notably Le Petit Journal. His is considered to be one of the first to apply modern printing technology to mass-produced publications.
