Md. Zahirul Islam is a retired Major General of Bangladesh Army . [1] [2] He is now in LPR. Before that, he served as Master General of Ordnance at Army Headquarters. Prior to join there, he was commander of the logistics area of Dhaka Cantonment. He is the chief patron of Baridhara Scholars' International School and College. [3] He was the vice-president of Kurmitola Golf Club. [4] He was the senior vice-president of Bangladesh Golf Federation. [5]

Career

Islam had served as a faculty at the National Defence College of Bangladesh Army. [6]

On 29 July 2020, Islam was transferred from Bangladesh Army to the Ministry of Commerce and made chairperson of Bangladesh Tea Board. [7] [8] Under him, Bangladesh Tea Board organized the National Tea Day in June 2021. [9] He is the founding chairperson of Camellia Open Sky School, a charity school for children of tea workers. [10]

Sheikh Mohammad Shafiuddin Ahmed is a retired Bangladeshi four star general who was Chief of Army Staff (CAS) of the Bangladesh Army, from 24 June 2021 to 23 June 2024. Prior to his appointment as CAS, he served as the quartermaster general (QMG) of Bangladesh Army as a lieutenant general. Major General Shakil Ahmed SPP, BGBM, nswc, afwc, psc is a two-star general of the Bangladesh Army. Currently he is serving as General Officer Commanding of 66th Infantry Division & Area Commander, Rangpur Area. He served as the Director General of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB). Prior to this appointment, he served as Adjutant general of Army Headquarters. Before that he has served as the General Officers Commanding of 19th Infantry Division in ghatail.

Tofayel Mustafa Sorwar is a Bangladesh Army Brigadier General and the former Additional Director General (Operations) at the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) an elite multi-service unit of the Bangladesh Police. He has been sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for human rights violation at RAB during his time at the agency.

Mahbub-ul Alam is a Major General of Bangladesh Army and the incumbent Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals. Prior to Joining BUP, he served as Principal of Adamjee Cantonment College. Before that, he served as ADG of Bangladesh Border Guard.
