Dr Megat Khas bin Megat Omar (8 April 1908 - 21 June 1979). He was born in Istana Talang, Kuala Kangsar, Perak and was a direct descendant of Megat Terawis, the first Bendahara of Perak.
His father was Megat Omar bin Megat Muhammad Ali of Kota Lama Kiri, Kuala Kangsar, Perak.
Megat Khas was educated at the Straits and Federated Malay States Government Medical School in Singapore (later renamed King Edward VII College of Medicine)(1925-1931) and soon became the first Malay to obtain Membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1950.
During his lifetime, he was awarded several orders and decorations. He retired as Perak's State Physician.
He was also active in the St John Ambulance and offered his services within the St John Ambulance for 26 years (1950-1976). He was Commissioner of the St John Ambulance Brigade of West Malaysia. He was Deputy Commander and retired as the Supreme Commander of St John Ambulance, Asia Region.
He died of a heart attack at 71 and is buried at the Muslim Cemetery at Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Gurap, Ipoh, Perak.

Dato' Sir Onn bin Dato' Jaafar was a Malayan politician who served as the 7th Menteri Besar of Johor from 1947 to 1950, then Malaya. His organized opposition towards the creation of the Malayan Union led him to form the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in 1946; he was UMNO's founder and its first President until his resignation in 1951. He was famously known as the pioneer of organised anti-imperialism and early Malay nationalism within the entire Malaya, which eventually culminated with the Malayan independence from Britain. He was also responsible for the social and economic welfare of the Malays by setting up the Rural Industrial Development Authority (RIDA).
Megat Terawis was the first Bendahara of Perak and was known by the title Orang Kaya Bendahara Paduka Raja. He was the son of the Daulat Yang Dipertuan Pagar Ruyung, Megat Terawan. He was to inherit the throne of Pagar Ruyung but he opted for the Bendaharaship of Perak instead of going back to Pagar Ruyung to succeed the throne. His descendants were holders of the Bendaharaship of Perak. One of his descendants, Megat Menjanas, married Raja Shah Alam Sayong - a daughter of Sultan Muzaffar Shah II of Perak.

In 1965, he became the youngest person appointed to the High Court of Malaya, and in 1982 he became the youngest ever Lord President of the Federal Court, the country's highest judicial rank.

Perak Malay is one of the Malay dialects spoken within the state of Perak, Malaysia. Although it is neither the official language nor the standard dialect in the whole state of Perak, its existence which co-exists with other major dialects in the state of Perak still plays an important role in maintaining the identity of Perak. In spite of the fact that there are five main dialects traditionally spoken in Perak, only one of which is intended by the name "Perak Malay". There are subtle phonetic, syntactic and lexical distinctions from other major Malay dialects. Perak Malay can be divided into two sub-dialects, Kuala Kangsar and Perak Tengah, named after the daerah (districts) where they are predominantly spoken.
